Fits Vivo T2x and V2188A models; replaces OEM part number B-U2.
3.87V at 5900mAh capacity delivers the same charge window as the original cell for full-day use cycles.
Connector sits flush with the phone's battery slot; no adapter or modification needed for physical installation.
We cycled this cell through five full discharge-charge runs on a T2x bench unit; the BMS accepted charge current without throttling and held voltage clean under sustained modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's actual discharge curve before USB-PD pushes high current into an uncalibrated sensor.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo T2x / V2188A — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-U2)

This is a 3.87V, 5900mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Vivo T2x and V2188A smartphones. It replaces part number B-U2, the original cell used across both model variants. Dimensions are 94.10 × 63.80 × 5.30mm — measure your existing cell before fitting.

  • T2x and V2188A compatibility: Both models run the same B-U2 cell with identical voltage rails, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the T2x platform. The BMS accepted the cell, charge current stepped correctly through CC and CV phases, and protection circuits tripped at expected cutoff thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the T2x after a cell swap

The T2x fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile can hit a voltage cliff under modem or display load before the gauge reads zero. The phone interprets the voltage drop as an immediate low-power condition and shuts down. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and maps the new curve. After that cycle, the percentage reading stabilises and shutdowns stop.

USB fast charge not activating after replacement on the T2x

On the first charge cycle with a new cell, the charge IC may withhold fast-charge handshake until the BMS reports a valid state-of-charge above a minimum threshold — typically around 10–15%. Plugging in below that threshold often locks the port to standard 5V charging only. Let the phone charge at standard rate until it crosses that threshold, then disconnect and reconnect the cable. Fast charging should engage at that point and continue normally on subsequent cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo T2x shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — what's causing it?

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old cell. When the new cell's voltage drops under load — usually modem or screen activity — the IC reads it as a cutoff event before the display shows zero. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% with fast charging turned off. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my T2x jumps around erratically after the replacement — sometimes it gains 5% without charging.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell impedance profile. The IC was tuned to the original cell's internal resistance, so voltage readings under varying loads translate to inconsistent percentage estimates. The jumping settles after one or two full discharge-charge cycles as the IC builds a new reference curve. Keep fast charging off during those first two cycles so the IC logs a clean, uninterrupted charge curve at lower current.

My T2x won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before fitting.

If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and blocks normal boot. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until it clears the BMS recovery threshold. Once the cell reaches around 3.0V, the BMS releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.
