Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Y32 / Y21e Series — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-T7)
This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh lithium-polymer battery with OEM part number B-T7. It fits the Vivo Y32, Y32 2021 4G, V2158, Y21e, and two additional compatible models. It replaces the internal cell when the original has degraded, fails to hold charge, or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- Y32 and Y21e series compatibility: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all anchored to the B-T7 specification. Swapping between them requires no wiring or adapter changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Y32 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly after one full cycle, and triggered no protection cutoffs during normal load transitions.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff, not a calibration glitch. A fresh cell with a different internal resistance profile can drop below the SoC cutoff threshold under modem or display load even when the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The phone's protection IC sees the voltage sag as a low-cell event and cuts out. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and typically eliminates this behaviour.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after swap
Vivo's proprietary charge protocol negotiates current limits through the BMS on the first handshake after a new cell is installed. Until that first cycle completes, the charge IC may default to standard 5V/1A input rather than accepting higher-rate charging. This is not a fault in the cell. Run one full charge at standard current, then reconnect the fast charger — the handshake succeeds once the BMS has logged an initial charge event against the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo Y32 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. This is a voltage cliff: the replacement cell's discharge curve differs from the original, so the phone's protection IC sees a voltage sag under modem or screen load and cuts power before the fuel gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off naturally — then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle re-anchors the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual voltage curve and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it shows 60%, then drops to 40% in minutes without heavy use.
The fuel gauge IC on the Y32 is still running the charge curve it mapped against your old, degraded cell. It has no accurate reference point for the new cell yet, so the coulomb counter produces unstable readings. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge gives the IC a full voltage sweep to calibrate against. Percentage readings stabilise after that first cycle — sometimes two cycles are needed if the original cell was severely degraded before removal.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell, even on a standard charger.
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat in the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does — this is normal electrochemical behaviour, not a defect. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled its internal resistance, which produces slightly elevated surface temperature. Charge the phone on a hard flat surface rather than a soft surface like a bed for the first three cycles so heat dissipates freely. If the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, disconnect and check that the connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and amplifies heating.
