Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Moulinex MS6543 / MS6545 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh (28.8Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Moulinex MS6543 and MS6545 cordless stick vacuum range. It covers the MS6543WH/BA0 and MS6545WI/BA0 variants. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or the vacuum loses suction well before the indicator reads low.
- MS6543 and MS6545 compatibility: Both model lines run the same 14.4V battery bay with an identical connector and BMS handshake. The shared architecture means one cell covers all four listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under simulated motor load matching the MS6543 drive circuit. The BMS held voltage above the motor's minimum threshold across repeated discharge cycles and did not trip under normal carpet-cleaning draw.
- Dock charging on the MS6543 and MS6545: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock after the cell reaches full charge. These models have no dock-level charge interrupt, so the battery stays in a trickle-charge state indefinitely. Charge fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The MS6543 motor pulls harder when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter raises current draw above rated levels. The BMS responds to that elevated draw by pulling back voltage delivered to the motor, which reads to the user as suction loss rather than a battery warning. The battery indicator measures cell voltage at rest, not under load, so it can still show mid-range charge while the motor is being starved. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the filter is restricted or the nozzle is blocked, sustained high-resistance airflow forces the motor to draw current beyond the BMS trip threshold. The BMS shuts the output, the motor stops, and after a few seconds the BMS resets and allows restart. Clear the blockage and check the filter — if the trip stops occurring, the cell is fine. If it persists on a clean, unblocked vacuum, verify the replacement battery's BMS trip threshold matches the 14.4V drive circuit's rated operating current.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Moulinex MS6543 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?
The battery indicator reads resting cell voltage, not the voltage the motor actually sees under load. When the filter is even partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated, and the BMS throttles output voltage to protect the cell — suction drops while the indicator stays mid-range. Clean the filter completely before replacing the battery. If suction holds after a filter clean, the cell was not the problem.
The vacuum cuts out suddenly during use, then starts again after I wait a few seconds — is this a battery fault?
That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by sustained restricted airflow, not a failed cell. The motor labours against a blockage or dirty filter, pulls current past the BMS trip point, and the BMS cuts output to protect itself — then resets. Clear any nozzle blockage, wash or replace the filter, and run the vacuum again. If the cut-out stops, the replacement battery is functioning correctly.
The new battery seems to fade faster than it did when it was new — could continuous dock charging have already damaged it?
The MS6543 and MS6545 docks have no charge-interrupt circuit, so a battery left on the dock after reaching full charge sits in a continuous trickle state. That trickle current causes lithium cells to degrade faster than normal charge-discharge cycling. To slow capacity fade, charge the battery to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it to dock when the cell needs charging. A battery stored off the dock between uses will retain usable capacity significantly longer than one left docked permanently.
