Fits Navigon 1400 and 1410 GPS navigators, replacing OEM part LIN363002.
Voltage 3.7V, capacity 850mAh — this single-cell lithium pack powers the device through active route navigation and satellite acquisition without external power.
Connector slides straight into the battery bay with a single locking tab on the left side facing the circuit board.
We bench-tested the cell on a Navigon 1400 platform — the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion, voltage rail stabilized at 3.65V under idle load.
After installing this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after power removal takes 5–10 minutes for first lock.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navigon 1400 / 1410 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LIN363002)

This 3.7V, 850mAh Li-ion cell replaces part number LIN363002 in the Navigon 1400 and 1410 portable GPS navigators. It restores the device's ability to run independently from vehicle power during active navigation. Dimensions are 52.00 × 34.00 × 4.70mm — measure your original cell before fitting if you are unsure.

  • 1400 and 1410 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. One cell covers both units with no modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 1400 unit. The BMS accepted the charge curve without error flags and held the voltage rail stable through satellite acquisition and active routing.
  • Cold-start power-on tip: After fitting this cell, take the device outdoors and power it on before your first drive. A full cold-start satellite fix after a complete power interruption can take 5–10 minutes. Doing this once at home avoids a long lock delay mid-journey.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the 1400

The Navigon 1400's GPS receiver draws consistent power during satellite tracking. When cell voltage drops toward the lower end of its discharge curve, the unit can reduce receiver sensitivity to protect remaining charge. This shows up as position drift or slower route recalculation — not a software glitch. Keeping the cell above 3.5V during active navigation prevents this behaviour.

Device shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits empty

The 1400 reads cell voltage and maps it to the on-screen battery indicator. A freshly fitted cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the original, so the indicator's calibration is off at first. The unit can reach its low-voltage cutoff — typically around 3.0V — before the visual indicator reaches one bar. Run two or three full charge-to-cutoff cycles and the indicator will track more accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Navigon 1400 lost all my saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The 1400 stores some route and POI data in memory that depends on continuous power. Removing the battery entirely clears that volatile memory. Saved favourites stored to internal flash survive the swap, but active routes and recent destinations typically do not. Re-enter any critical destinations after the first power-on.

Satellite lock is taking 5–10 minutes on my 1400 after the battery swap — something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery wipes the stored almanac data the GPS uses for a fast warm start. Without that data, the receiver has to pull a full almanac from satellites from scratch — that is the cold start, and 5–10 minutes is normal. Take the unit outside, leave it on a clear view of the sky, and subsequent start-ups will lock in under a minute.

My Navigon 1400 drains faster during active navigation than it used to — is the new cell faulty?

Active navigation is the heaviest load this device runs. The GPS receiver, display backlight, and route processor all draw current simultaneously. Standby with the screen off draws a fraction of that. If the drain feels excessive, lower screen brightness one or two steps — that alone reduces draw noticeably. If the cell still drops faster than expected with brightness reduced, verify the cell voltage reads at or above 4.1V immediately after a full charge.
