Fits Navigon 2510 and 2510 Explorer GPS navigators, replacing OEM part number UH0600905.
This 3.7V Li-Polymer cell delivers 750mAh capacity to restore full navigation runtime on your portable GPS unit.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab — seat it fully until it clicks.
We bench-tested the cell in a 2510 unit; the BMS accepted charge in under two hours with no fault codes.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — GPS performs a cold start after power interruption that takes 5–10 minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navigon 2510 / 2510 Explorer — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (UH0600905)

This 3.7V, 750mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces part number UH0600905 in the Navigon 2510 and 2510 Explorer portable GPS navigators. It restores power to the unit when the original cell no longer holds charge. Dimensions are 51.03 × 33.73 × 4.41mm — measure your existing cell before fitting if you are unsure.

  • 2510 and 2510 Explorer compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture with identical connector pinout and BMS communication protocol, so one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 2510 platform and confirmed the onboard BMS accepted the cell without flagging a fault condition and that charge termination operated correctly at full capacity.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors before driving. The GPS performs a full cold start following any complete power interruption — first satellite fix typically takes 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop to under a minute once the almanac data is cached again.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the Navigon 2510

When cell voltage drops below roughly 3.5V, the 2510's power management circuit reduces current available to the GPS receiver module. Lower receiver sensitivity means the unit struggles to maintain a strong signal lock, particularly in urban canyons or under heavy cloud cover. The result is position drift or intermittent rerouting even when the route itself is correct. Keeping the cell above 3.6V during active navigation maintains full receiver sensitivity.

Battery indicator shows charge remaining but unit shuts off without warning

This happens when the onscreen fuel gauge is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve, which differs from a fresh replacement cell. The indicator reads optimistically until the BMS hits its hard voltage cutoff — typically around 3.0V — and the unit powers off mid-route. Run two or three full charge and discharge cycles to let the 2510 recalibrate its gauge against the new cell's actual curve. After that, the low-battery warning will trigger at the correct threshold before shutdown occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Navigon 2510 took over 10 minutes to find satellites after I fitted the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery wipes the GPS receiver's cached almanac and ephemeris data, forcing a cold start from scratch. The 2510 needs to download fresh orbital data from satellites before it can lock — this takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view. Once the almanac is rebuilt and stored, subsequent locks happen in under a minute.

The 2510 shut off mid-route even though the battery indicator showed charge remaining — why?

The fuel gauge on the 2510 is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell has a slightly different curve, so the indicator reads higher than the actual state of charge until the unit recalibrates. The BMS cuts power at its hard floor of around 3.0V regardless of what the gauge shows. Run two or three full charge and discharge cycles and the indicator will align correctly with the new cell's actual capacity.

My saved routes and favourite destinations disappeared after replacing the battery — can I get them back?

The 2510 stores some route and POI data in RAM that loses its state when power is fully removed. Once the battery is disconnected, anything held in volatile memory is gone. Points of interest saved to the internal flash storage survive the swap, but routes set up in-session do not. Re-enter any critical destinations after the first boot and save them explicitly to the device's internal storage to prevent loss on future power interruptions.
