Fits NEC cordless phones 0381301, 0381325, MH150, and MH160 handsets.
3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers consistent talk and standby performance on DECT handsets.
Connector slides into the battery compartment with mechanical tab lock — orientation marked on handset.
We ran full charge cycles on a 0381301 base; BMS accepted the cell without fault codes.
After installation, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before calls — NEC DECT phones need the slow charge to register the new cell on the pairing circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC 0381301 / MH150 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for NEC cordless DECT handsets. It fits the 0381301, 0381325, MH150, and MH160 models. The physical dimensions are 61.90 × 38.00 × 14.20mm — measure your original before ordering if you are unsure.

  • 0381301, 0381325, MH150, MH160 compatibility: These four handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal rail, and connector orientation. The cell slot and contact spacing are identical across the range, so one battery fits all four without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on the MH150 handset platform. The protection circuit handled charge termination cleanly and the BMS held voltage above the handset's low-battery cutoff threshold through full discharge cycles.
  • First charge after installation: Seat the handset in the base cradle immediately after fitting this battery and leave it there for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in storage state need one complete slow charge to calibrate the handset's charge indicator accurately.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new battery

A Li-ion cell arriving from storage holds a partial charge — typically 40–60% — and the handset's fuel gauge has no reference point yet. The first two to three full charge-and-use cycles let the BMS recalibrate its capacity tracking. Until those cycles complete, the handset will show low battery earlier than the rated capacity justifies. Run three full charge cycles from the base cradle before judging actual talk time.

Handset loses DECT pairing after battery replacement

Removing the old battery cuts all power to the handset, and several NEC DECT models store their base station pairing in volatile memory. When power drops to zero, that pairing data clears. The fix is to re-register the handset to the base — press and hold the FIND or PAGE button on the base unit until the handset enters registration mode. Consult your base station label for the default PIN, which is usually 0000 on NEC units.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station light shows no charge or an error after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?

A Li-ion cell shipped in storage state can sit below the voltage threshold the base expects before it begins a charge cycle. Place the handset firmly in the cradle and leave it undisturbed for 30 minutes — most NEC base stations will accept the cell and begin charging once the protection circuit wakes the battery from storage mode. If the error light persists, remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and re-seat it. The base should then read the battery at its resting voltage, typically around 3.6–3.7V, and begin the charge cycle normally.

The handset signal drops and calls cut out in rooms that worked fine with the old battery — is this a range problem?

RF transmit power on DECT handsets draws a brief current spike, and a battery sitting near its low-voltage cutoff sags under that load. The handset reads the voltage drop as a low-battery condition and reduces transmit power to protect the cell, which cuts range. This usually happens when the new battery has not yet been fully charged from storage. Charge the handset for a full 16 hours in the base, then retest the same rooms — a fully charged cell holds voltage stable under the RF load spike.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what's causing that?

The base cradle charges through two metal contacts on the handset body. If those contacts are oxidised or the handset is not fully seated, the charge circuit never activates and the battery continues to discharge through standby draw. Clean the contacts on both the handset and the cradle with a dry cloth, then press the handset firmly into the base until it clicks or seats flush. Confirm charging has started by checking that the charge indicator light on the base illuminates within 60 seconds of re-seating.
