Fits NEC Conference Max Plus, replaces OEM part number 750074.
7.2V and 2000mAh capacity maintain stable voltage under combined wireless and audio draw in extended meetings.
Connector seats into the battery bay with a positive terminal lock tab — confirm seating before closing the unit.
We ran this pack through three full charge cycles on the NEC dock; BMS accepted handshake cleanly with no fault indicators.
After installation, run one full charge cycle before your first meeting — the conferencing system voltage threshold indicator needs baseline data and may show warnings until then.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC Conference Max Plus — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (750074)

This is a 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the NEC Conference Max Plus portable conferencing unit. It replaces OEM part number 750074 and fits directly into the Conference Max Plus battery compartment. Swap it in when the original pack no longer holds a charge or fails to power the unit through a full meeting session.

  • Conference Max Plus fit: The Conference Max Plus runs a 7.2V Ni-MH battery rail with a specific connector and physical envelope. This pack matches that voltage rail, connector orientation, and the 100.85 x 43.50 x 14.65mm form factor — no modification needed to seat it correctly in the housing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Conference Max Plus platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell chemistry without triggering a fault state. Voltage under combined audio and wireless draw held stable across a sustained session load.
  • First-session calibration tip: After installing, run a full charge cycle before using the unit in a meeting. Conferencing systems map battery state during normal operation, and the indicator may report an inaccurate level for the first session after a swap — one full cycle corrects this.

Why the Conference Max Plus battery indicator stays wrong after a swap

The Conference Max Plus uses a voltage-threshold method to estimate remaining capacity. When a new pack goes in, the unit has no charge history for those cells, so the threshold mapping starts from zero. The indicator can show full, empty, or a static mid-level until the system observes a complete charge-to-discharge cycle. One full charge followed by normal use resets the mapping and brings the display in line with actual cell state.

Wireless connection dropping mid-meeting after battery replacement

If the Conference Max Plus loses its wireless link partway through a session, voltage sag under combined audio processing and wireless transmitter draw is usually the cause. Ni-MH cells that have not yet been conditioned show a sharper voltage dip under this dual load than a fully cycled pack. The unit's RF module is sensitive to voltage floor — if the pack dips below its operating threshold, the wireless link drops before the unit fully powers off. Charge the pack to 100% before the session and run one full cycle to condition the cells.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Conference Max Plus won't turn on at all after I put the new battery in — is it dead?

Most likely the replacement pack shipped in a partially discharged state and the unit's BMS is holding a deep-discharge lockout. Place the unit on charge for at least 2 hours before attempting to power it on — do not try to start it mid-charge. Once the pack reaches approximately 8.6V, the BMS releases the lockout and the unit will boot normally.

The charging dock is flashing but not actually charging the new battery — what's going on?

High contact resistance between the battery terminals and the dock cradle is the usual cause. Remove the battery, wipe the gold contact pads on both the pack and the dock with a dry cloth, and reseat the battery firmly until it clicks. If the dock still flashes without charging, check that the pack is oriented correctly — reversed insertion prevents contact closure and the dock reads it as a fault.

The Conference Max Plus gets noticeably warm during long meetings — is that a battery problem?

Sustained audio processing and wireless transmission together draw continuous current through the pack in an enclosed housing, which generates heat. This is normal under extended session load with a Ni-MH cell. If the unit becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the housing vents are not blocked and that the battery compartment cover is fully closed — a partially seated cover reduces airflow and traps heat against the pack.
