Neffos C5A / TP703A — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NBL-43A2300)

This is a 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original NBL-43A2300 battery in the Neffos C5A, C5A Dual SIM, and TP703A smartphones. If your phone shuts down unexpectedly, won't hold charge, or drains faster than it used to, the original cell has degraded. This replacement restores the battery to factory-rated capacity.

• C5A and TP703A platform fit: The C5A and TP703A share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — 74.45 × 57.96 × 4.20mm — so a single cell covers both variants including the Dual SIM model.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a C5A unit. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without error flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no abnormal heat at the connector.
• Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC applies high-current input to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the C5A reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The C5A uses a coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC that was calibrated against the discharge curve of the original cell. When you install a new cell, the IC still references the old curve, so percentage readings drift — often showing full charge far earlier than the actual state of charge. The fix is a full calibration cycle: discharge the phone to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. After one complete cycle the IC resets its reference and percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem or display load, the new cell briefly drops below the BMS protection threshold — around 3.0V — before the fuel gauge has recalibrated, causing the phone to cut power while still showing charge remaining. It happens most often in the first few cycles while the coulomb counter catches up to the new cell's actual capacity. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge current and the shutdowns will stop. If they persist beyond three cycles, check that the replacement cell connector is fully seated — an intermittent pin contact produces the same voltage-drop symptom.
