Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Neffos N1 / TP908A — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (NBL-35A3200)
This is a 3.85V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell built to the NBL-35A3200 specification for the Neffos N1 and TP908A smartphones. It replaces the original pouch cell when the phone no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Capacity is rated at 11.55Wh and dimensions match the original bay at 84.14 × 63.80 × 3.62mm.
- N1 and TP908A platform fit: Both models share the same mainboard layout, connector pinout, and charge IC — the NBL-35A3200 cell interfaces directly with the same BMS handshake on either device without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and controlled discharge passes on the N1 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly, and held voltage above the cutoff threshold under sustained screen and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated reference.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Neffos N1 after a cell swap
The N1's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge model from the previous cell. When the curve stored in the coulomb counter doesn't match the new cell's actual voltage-versus-capacity relationship, the IC misreads remaining charge. Under modem transmit or display load, the cell voltage dips sharply at the real empty point — often 3.5–3.6V — while the gauge still shows 20–30%. The phone's low-voltage protection trips and cuts power before the OS can warn the user. One full slow discharge-recharge cycle forces the IC to relearn the curve and eliminates most unexpected shutoffs.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the N1 may default to trickle or standard 5V charging on the first cycle rather than negotiating fast-charge protocol. This happens because the IC detects an uncalibrated cell and applies a conservative current limit as a precaution. It is not a fault with the replacement cell or the charger. Complete one standard-rate charge cycle first — the IC will accept full fast-charge negotiation from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Neffos N1 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old cell, so its percentage reading diverges from the new cell's actual voltage near the bottom of the charge range. Under screen or mobile data load, the voltage drops faster than the gauge expects and the low-voltage cutoff fires. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% at standard rate — the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the early shutoffs stop.
The battery percentage on my N1 is jumping around erratically after the replacement — what's causing it?
Erratic percentage jumps come from the fuel gauge IC recalibrating in real time against a cell it has no reference data for yet. The IC is comparing live voltage readings to a stored discharge model that no longer matches, so small load spikes cause large apparent swings in reported state-of-charge. This settles after one or two complete slow discharge-recharge cycles as the coulomb counter builds an accurate model of the new cell. Avoid fast charging during those first two cycles so high current doesn't distort the calibration data.
My N1 feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth on the first few charges is expected. A new high-impedance pouch cell generates slightly more heat as charge current flows through a cell the IC hasn't yet characterised. If the phone feels hot to the touch or the charger disconnects early, remove the case to let heat dissipate and switch to a standard 5V charger for the first cycle. Once the cell has been cycled once, internal resistance drops and charging temperature returns to normal levels.
