Fits UMIDIGI Power 3 smartphone, replaces OEM part 1ICP/6/65/87.
3.85V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers extended standby and talk time between charges.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot with standard locking tab engagement.
Bench testing showed normal BMS initialization on first insertion; fuel gauge IC requires recalibration.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

UMI UMIDIGI Power 3 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1ICP/6/65/87)

This 3.85V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the UMIDIGI Power 3 smartphone. It matches the OEM part number 1ICP/6/65/87 and fits the Power 3's physical bay at 86.00 × 64.36 × 5.10mm. Capacity is 19.25Wh — identical to the factory specification.

  • UMIDIGI Power 3 fitment: The Power 3 uses a dedicated battery bay with a proprietary connector pinout tied to the fuel gauge IC. This cell matches that connector and communicates correctly with the phone's coulomb counter — no handshake errors reported during testing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Power 3 mainboard. The BMS accepted the full 5000mAh charge without tripping an over-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge accurately after one complete calibration cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb-counting baseline against the new cell's discharge curve before fast charge current is applied.

Why the Power 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The UMIDIGI Power 3 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-versus-capacity profile of the replacement. The IC reads voltage and estimates percentage against the old data, so it can show 40% when the cell is closer to 15%. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle forces the IC to rewrite its reference table. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the phone's minimum load threshold under a high-draw event — typically the LTE modem firing at full power or the screen at peak brightness. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated can sit at a nominal resting voltage that looks like 25% charge, but sags sharply under load, hitting the 3.4V hardware cutoff before the OS has time to trigger a graceful shutdown. Run the first-cycle calibration discharge described above. If shutdowns continue past cycle two, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and worsens voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Power 3 just shut off mid-use and won't turn back on after fitting the new battery — is the cell dead?

It's almost certainly a BMS lockout from deep discharge during storage, not a dead cell. If the replacement cell dropped below 2.5V in the warehouse, the BMS trips a protection latch and blocks all output. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above 3.0V, at which point the BMS resets and the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement — it's only doing slow charge now?

On the first charge cycle, the Power 3's charge controller can refuse to negotiate the higher current rate because the new cell's BMS hasn't yet confirmed a stable internal resistance reading to the system. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. Complete the first full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and reboot the phone. On the second charge cycle, fast charging resumes once the controller has a baseline impedance value to work against.

The battery percentage is jumping around — it goes from 60% to 45% in seconds without heavy use?

The fuel gauge IC on the Power 3 is still reading from the discharge curve it mapped to the original worn cell. A fresh 5000mAh cell has a significantly different voltage-to-capacity slope, so the IC miscalculates state-of-charge and produces erratic jumps. Run one complete calibration cycle: discharge the phone to automatic shutdown under normal use, then charge it in a single uninterrupted session to 100%. The coulomb counter rewrites its reference data during that cycle, and percentage readings will stabilise at 3.85V nominal.
