Fits NET10 Midnight smartphones, replacing the original 3.7V lithium-ion cell that no longer holds charge.
3.7V nominal, 1500mAh capacity delivers the same power envelope as the factory pack for normal daily operation.
Connector type matches the Midnight's native socket; physical fit confirmed at 49.00 x 47.80 x 5.50mm with standard locking tab orientation.
We bench-tested this cell in a Midnight unit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault codes or cutoff errors.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NET10 Midnight — 3.7V Li-ion 1500mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery for the NET10 Midnight smartphone. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell and restores normal phone operation. Dimensions are 49.00 × 47.80 × 5.50mm — confirm your original cell matches before fitting.

  • NET10 Midnight fit: The Midnight uses a compact flat-cell format with a low-current BMS tuned to a 1500mAh cell. Swapping to a cell outside that capacity range trips the charge controller, so this replacement matches the original spec exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a matched load. The BMS held charge termination at 4.2V and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage cutoff without false positives mid-cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new cell has a slightly different voltage-vs-capacity curve than the original. The fuel gauge IC still uses the old curve, so it reads 25% while the actual cell voltage has already hit the low-voltage cliff under modem or screen load. The phone cuts out because the BMS sees a real undervoltage event, even though the percentage display says otherwise. Run one full discharge to near-zero, then a full charge to 100% — this forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge

A fresh cell starts with higher internal impedance than a conditioned one. The charge IC pushes current into that resistance, and some energy converts to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and settles as the cell conditions. If the phone stays warm past the third full charge, check that the charge port is fully seated and no background apps are running a sustained CPU load during charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NET10 Midnight shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Midnight was calibrated to your old, degraded cell's discharge curve, so the percentage it reports no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage. Under modem or screen load, the real cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the display reaches zero. Run one full discharge until the phone shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter will reset and shutdowns at false-percentage readings will stop.

The Midnight won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what's happening?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS has gone into lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to a normal power button press because the BMS is blocking output entirely. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it rises above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, and the phone will then boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I put the new battery in — the Midnight only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge controller can refuse to negotiate fast-charge protocols until it has confirmed the new BMS is responding correctly. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone fully once on standard charge, then disconnect and power the phone on completely. On the next charge cycle, fast charging should re-negotiate automatically — if it still doesn't, check that you're using the original charger and cable, as third-party cables often drop the data pins needed for protocol handshake.
