Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BG800BBE)
This 3.85V 2100mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. It fits SM-G800F, SM-G800Y, SM-G800H, and related variants. OEM part numbers covered: EG-BG800BBE, EB-BG800BBE, and EB-BG800CBE.
- SM-G800 series compatibility: All SM-G800 variants share the same 3.85V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the same physical cell and charge circuit runs across the entire Mini sub-family.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an SM-G800F and cycled it through two full discharge-charge passes. The BMS accepted charge on the first cycle without triggering overcurrent or overvoltage cutoff. Cell voltage at full charge held steady at 4.35V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before normal use resumes.
Why the S5 Mini reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The S5 Mini uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by counting coulombs against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When you fit a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual chemistry. The IC reports percentage based on stale reference data, so readings drift — especially between 30% and 70%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the reference baseline and brings the display reading back into alignment with real capacity.
Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display's minimum rail requirement under load — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A new cell with an uncalibrated IC can misread state-of-charge by 15–20%, so "25%" on screen may actually be near 3.3V open-circuit. Under LTE transmission or screen brightness spikes, instantaneous current draw pulls voltage below the 3.2V BMS cutoff and the phone shuts off. Run the recalibration cycle described above and check that resting voltage after shutdown reads no lower than 3.4V before recharging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My S5 Mini won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell due to deep discharge in storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold of roughly 2.8V before the phone will respond. If the battery icon appears at any point, the cell is recovering; continue charging to at least 10% before booting.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the back cover during the first few charges — is that normal with a new cell?
Yes, for the first two or three cycles. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more heat as it pushes current through the higher-resistance cell wall. The warmth drops off significantly after the cell has been cycled two or three times. If the back stays hot to the touch beyond the third full charge cycle, check that no third-party fast-charge adapter is forcing higher current than the 5V/2A the S5 Mini charge circuit expects.
Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — my old one charged quickly but this one doesn't.
The S5 Mini's USB-PD and Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge handshake runs through the BMS on the battery side. On the first cycle with a new cell, some BMS firmware versions default to standard charge rates until the handshake completes a full authentication cycle. Charge the phone once from flat to 100% at standard speed using the original Samsung charger. On the next charge cycle, fast charging should re-negotiate correctly. If it still doesn't trigger, confirm you are using a Samsung-branded wall adapter — third-party chargers frequently fail the proprietary AFC handshake entirely.
