Fits Nokia 303, 603, Lumia 710, Asha 303 — replaces OEM BP-3L battery pack.
3.7V lithium-ion cell at 1300mAh delivers the original capacity for standard daily use cycles.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot with no adapter needed.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the test unit — the BMS accepted charge without cutoff faults.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle before relying on the fuel gauge percentage display — the coulomb counter IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia 303 / Lumia 710 / Asha 303 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP-3L)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Nokia BP-3L battery slot. It fits the Nokia 303, 603, Lumia 710, Asha 303, and seven additional Nokia models that share the same BP-3L footprint. Dimensions are 66.00 × 43.90 × 4.60mm — the same physical envelope as the original.

  • Multi-model Nokia platform fit: The 303, 603, Lumia 710, and Asha 303 share the BP-3L connector pinout and BMS handshake voltage thresholds. One cell covers the full range because Nokia standardised the charge IC communication across these models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Lumia 710 and Asha 303. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on the first cycle and held cutoff at 4.2V without thermal flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, run one complete discharge to the auto-shutoff point before recharging. Nokia's fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the actual discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage display to read incorrectly for the first several cycles.

Why the Lumia 710 and Asha 303 report wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

Nokia's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge profile from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references that old curve, so the percentage it displays drifts from actual state-of-charge. The fix is one full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline to the new cell's actual capacity and the percentage readout stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or screen draws a current spike and the cell voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage-under-load event, not a capacity problem. A new cell behaves this way before the fuel gauge IC has mapped its actual discharge curve. Complete the first full calibration cycle and the shutoff point will track correctly; the BMS cutoff sits at approximately 3.0V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Nokia Asha 303 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell dropped below 2.5V during storage and the BMS entered lockout to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC needs a trickle current to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold before normal charging resumes. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering normally.

The battery percentage on my Lumia 710 jumps around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell discharge curve. It happens in the first few cycles after a replacement because the coulomb counter's stored model no longer matches the new cell's behaviour. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that single full cycle, the percentage readout will stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Nokia 303 after I put in the new BP-3L battery.

Some Nokia charge ICs do not accept the fast-charge handshake from a new cell on the very first cycle — the BMS presents a higher impedance until the cell has been through one standard charge. Charge the phone once at standard rate using the original Nokia charger, let it reach 100%, then try fast charging again on the second cycle. If the charger still throttles after two full cycles, confirm the charger output is within the 5V/1A spec Nokia specifies for the 303.
