Fits ZTE Z718, Z718TL, Jasper LTE, and Jasper smartphones; replaces OEM part Li3820T43P3h604655.
3.8V at 1900mAh delivers 7.22Wh — enough voltage for the modem and screen without sag under load.
Connector seats flat against the battery contact pad; no locking tab, slides in straight until it seats fully.
We cycled this cell through three full discharge-charge runs on a Z718; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new curve after cycle two.
On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle — this recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge signature.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Z718 / Jasper LTE — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3820T43P3h604655)

This is a 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion battery built to OEM part number Li3820T43P3h604655. It fits the ZTE Z718, Z718TL, Jasper LTE, and Jasper smartphones. Dimensions are 59.53 × 46.18 × 5.42mm — confirm these against your original cell before installing.

  • Z718 / Jasper LTE compatibility: The Z718 and Jasper LTE share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal rail. One cell fits both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a Z718 unit. The BMS accepted charge handshake without error and held voltage above 3.6V through the majority of the discharge curve before dropping to cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z718 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity problem. Under modem transmit or screen-on load, the new cell's internal resistance causes voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve and cannot accurately predict the new cell's behaviour until it runs at least one full cycle. After one uninterrupted discharge to auto-off and a full recharge to 100%, the reported percentage and actual cutoff point will align.

Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after replacing the Z718 cell

The coulomb counter and fuel gauge IC on the Z718 retain learned data from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored discharge model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry and capacity curve. The result is erratic percentage jumps or a reading that stays stuck at one value for extended periods. Drain the battery fully until the phone powers itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one complete cycle resets the gauge to the new cell's actual curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE Z718 won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead too?

If the original cell deep-discharged below 2.5V while in storage, the BMS may have entered lockout to prevent cell damage, and the phone will show no response even on charge. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for at least 20 minutes before attempting to power on. A wall charger delivers enough current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V. If the charge LED does not light within 30 minutes, reseat the battery connector and retry.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Jasper LTE — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC may not negotiate the fast-charge protocol with the new BMS until the cell has completed one standard charge. Let the phone charge to 100% at the slow rate, then discharge and recharge once more — fast charge handshake typically resumes on the second or third cycle. If fast charging still does not resume after two full cycles, check that the original fast-charge cable and adapter are in use, as the protocol negotiation happens at the adapter level, not just the battery.

The ZTE Z718 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacing the cell — is that normal?

A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a used one, so the charge IC works harder to push current through it on early cycles. This produces mild warmth near the battery bay — typically 5–10°C above ambient — and is normal for the first two or three charge cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC shuts down mid-charge, stop charging and check that the replacement cell dimensions (59.53 × 46.18 × 5.42mm) match your original exactly, as an oversized cell can bow the back cover and stress the battery contacts.
