Fits Okami U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet cordless vacuums with 14.4V lithium-ion chemistry.
14.4V and 2600mAh capacity delivers 37.44Wh — enough power for the motor to maintain suction on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag under normal blockage.
Connector slides onto the dock contacts with a locking tab that seats flush — verify the tab engages fully before releasing the battery into the slot.
We tested this cell on the U100 dock; the BMS handshake completed within two charge cycles and held voltage stable through five full discharge runs.
Remove the battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock trickle charging causes capacity fade within weeks on this vacuum platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Okami U100 / U80 Pet Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Okami U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet cordless vacuum cleaners. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and connects to the same BMS circuit. Capacity is rated at 37.44Wh and matches the voltage rail these motors run on.

  • U100, U100 Plus, and U80 Pet fit: All three models share the same 14.4V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the U100 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the charger, accepted a full charge without fault codes, and delivered consistent voltage output under motor load.
  • Dock charging on these vacuums: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the battery reaches full charge. The U100 dock does not cut trickle current automatically — leaving it connected after full charge accelerates cell degradation faster than normal use does.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the U100, the motor draws significantly more current when the filter is even partially blocked. That elevated draw causes voltage to sag under load before the indicator registers a low state. The vacuum reads cell voltage at rest, not under load, so the indicator lags behind actual performance. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the issue. If voltage under load still sags below 12V with a clean filter, the cell has degraded.

Motor cuts out mid-use and restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power failure. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to draw above the BMS threshold, the protection circuit opens and disconnects output. It resets automatically once current demand drops. The fix is clearing the blockage or cleaning the filter before the next run. If cut-outs continue with an unobstructed airpath, check that battery voltage at rest reads at least 14.4V on a multimeter after a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Okami U100 lose suction halfway through cleaning even though the battery indicator still shows charged?

The indicator reads resting cell voltage, not load voltage. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw more current, causing voltage to sag under load before the indicator reflects it. Clean the filter and run the vacuum again — suction should return to normal if the battery is healthy. If it doesn't, check that the cell holds at least 14.4V on a multimeter after a full charge.

The Okami U100 motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then comes back on — what's causing that?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or sealed nozzle — the motor pulls above the BMS protection threshold and the circuit opens. It resets itself once the current spike drops. Clear the blockage and test again; if cut-outs continue with clean airflow and a full charge, the cell may no longer be holding voltage under load.

My Okami U100 battery seems to run out much faster than it used to — is the new replacement cell at fault or did something else cause this?

Capacity fade in these vacuums is most often caused by leaving the unit on the charging dock continuously. The U100 dock does not automatically stop current when the battery is full, so cells left connected long-term take on shallow trickle cycles that degrade capacity over time. A new replacement cell will restore original capacity — but only if you remove it from the dock once charging is complete. Charge fully, unplug, and reconnect only when the battery is depleted.
