Fits iHome iHRV2, Eclipse AutoVac, and iHRV4-GRY cordless stick vacuums with 14.4V connector.
This 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell restores full motor power on restricted suction loads.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush without force required.
We bench-tested under sustained high-load motor draw; BMS held stable current cutoff at threshold.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — dock trickle charging degrades capacity fast, so charge to full and remove immediately after.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

iHome iHRV2 / Eclipse AutoVac / iHRV4-GRY — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh (37.44Wh) lithium-ion battery for the iHome iHRV2, Eclipse AutoVac, and iHRV4-GRY cordless handheld vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded or the pack no longer holds a usable charge. Voltage and connector match the original so the charger and motor controller see no difference.

  • iHRV2, Eclipse AutoVac, iHRV4-GRY compatibility: These three models share the same 14.4V motor rail, battery bay dimensions, and connector pinout — 70 × 38 × 38mm pack geometry fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated load cycles on a 14.4V motor test rig. The BMS held stable under normal suction loads and tripped correctly when we forced a sustained overcurrent condition, then reset cleanly on the next charge cycle.
  • Dock charging practice for the iHRV2: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charge on these vacuums causes capacity fade faster than cycling from depleted to full. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The iHRV2 motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder than rated. Under that extra draw, cell voltage sags early and the motor slows before the indicator LED registers low. The vacuum feels like it's running out of charge when it isn't. Clean the filter first and check for blockage in the nozzle path — suction should recover immediately if the battery is in good condition.

Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when the motor draws sustained high current — usually from a blocked filter or jammed nozzle — and the BMS shuts the pack down to protect the cells. The pack resets automatically once current drops, which is why the vacuum starts again after a short pause. Clear the blockage, charge the pack to at least 12.5V resting voltage, and the trips should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My iHome iHRV2 has a new battery but it still loses suction quickly — why?

A new battery doesn't fix a restricted airflow path. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor pulls more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag under load and suction to drop early. Check and clean the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If suction is strong immediately after a clean filter is fitted, the battery is working correctly.

The vacuum runs fine then cuts out suddenly, and restarts a minute later — what's causing that?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. The battery's protection circuit cuts power when current draw exceeds the safe threshold — sustained restricted suction is the most common trigger on the iHRV2. The pack resets once the load clears, which is why it restarts. Clear any blockage in the nozzle or filter and the trips will stop; if they continue on a clear airflow path, check resting pack voltage — it should sit above 12.5V after a full charge.

The iHRV2 battery faded noticeably after a few months — did I get a bad cell?

Probably not a bad cell — most early capacity fade on these vacuums comes from leaving the unit on the charging dock continuously. Trickle charge over weeks degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal cycling. Going forward, charge the pack to full and remove it from the dock rather than storing it plugged in. If the pack still shows significant fade after correcting that habit, discharge it fully and recharge once to recalibrate the indicator.
