Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OnePlus 7T Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP743)
This is a 3.85V, 3700mAh (14.25Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the OnePlus 7T smartphone. It fits models HD1905, HD1901, and HD1903 — all variants of the 7T lineup that share the BLP743 cell format. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or has swollen beyond safe use.
- 7T variant compatibility: The HD1905, HD1901, and HD1903 share the same internal battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one cell covers all three. The BLP743 format fits each without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a HD1901 unit, monitored BMS handshake at power-on, and confirmed the charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes. Capacity read-back aligned with the rated 3700mAh within standard tolerance.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable Warp Charge and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard 5V/2A. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first hour of use.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLP743 replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a steeper voltage cliff under display or modem load than the old curve predicts, and the system shuts down before the reported percentage reaches zero. It is not a fault in the cell itself. Run one complete discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points and the shutdowns stop.
Warp Charge not activating on first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after a cell swap, the OnePlus charge IC runs a verification pass against the new BMS before enabling high-current Warp Charge. If the BMS has not completed its initial handshake — which requires at least one partial discharge — the phone falls back to standard 5V charging silently, with no notification. Discharge the phone to below 15% before plugging in for the second time. Warp Charge typically re-engages at that point, and the charging brick LED will confirm the high-current mode is active.

Frequently Asked Questions
My OnePlus 7T shuts off at around 25% after putting in the new BLP743 — is the battery faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped from your old, degraded cell, and the new cell's voltage drops faster under screen or modem load than that curve expects. The phone interprets that voltage drop as an emergency and cuts power before the percentage hits zero. Run one full discharge to auto-off followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — after that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.
The phone shows a stable percentage for ages, then jumps down 10–15% in seconds — what is causing that?
Percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC artefact. After a cell replacement, the coulomb counter has no accurate reference for where the new cell's voltage plateaus and cliffs are, so it corrects in sudden steps rather than a smooth curve. This is most visible between 50% and 30%, where Li-Polymer discharge curves flatten then drop sharply. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard 5V charging — not Warp Charge — and the jumps will reduce significantly as the IC builds a calibrated model of the new cell.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat than a broken-in one during the initial charge cycles. The charge IC on the 7T pushes current into a cell that has not yet settled its internal resistance, and that resistance converts some of that energy to heat. It is normal for the first two or three charges. If the phone reaches a point where it is uncomfortable to hold or charging slows to a trickle, check that the back cover is fully reseated — any gap disrupts the thermal path between the cell and the chassis. Heat should normalise by the third full charge cycle.
