Fits LG Velvet and LMG900TM — replaces OEM battery BL-T47 and EAC64785301.
3.85V and 4050mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers stable voltage under modem and display load.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on top.
We ran charge cycles through a Velvet test unit — BMS accepted input cleanly without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG Velvet Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T47)

This is a 3.85V, 4050mAh Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original BL-T47 in the LG Velvet and Velvet 5G smartphones. It fits models including LMG900TM and G900TMY, along with 21 additional Velvet variants. Capacity matches the factory spec at 15.59Wh.

  • Velvet and Velvet 5G compatibility: Every Velvet variant in this fit list shares the same 3.85V power rail, physical cell footprint (79.42 × 59.70 × 4.70mm), and BL-T47 connector pinout — so one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Velvet platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without flagging an incompatible source, and cutoff voltage triggered at the expected threshold.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Velvet reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Velvet uses a coulomb counter and fuel gauge IC that builds a model of the cell's discharge curve over time. When you swap in a new BL-T47, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve. The IC keeps reading against the old curve, so the percentage shown on screen drifts — often reading 100% too quickly or dropping suddenly at the low end. One full discharge to shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to relearn the new curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell

This happens when the modem, display, or both spike current draw faster than the cell can sustain voltage under load. Even with 20% reported remaining, the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V — and the phone shuts off to protect the cell. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped where that voltage cliff sits on the new cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging, then check whether the shutdowns persist at the same percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG Velvet won't turn on after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Plug into a wall charger — not a laptop USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout and allow the phone to boot. If the charging indicator appears and then disappears, try a second charger to rule out a current-limit mismatch.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after swapping the BL-T47 — now it only charges slowly.

The USB-PD or Qualcomm Quick Charge handshake sometimes fails on the first cycle with a new BMS because the charge IC runs a conservative check on cell impedance before accepting high-current input. This is normal on cycle one. Unplug, reboot the phone fully, then reconnect the fast charger — the handshake usually completes correctly on the second attempt once the BMS has completed one short charge pulse.

The battery percentage on my Velvet jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell and hasn't established a stable voltage-to-capacity map yet. Erratic jumps — especially large drops mid-use — are a recalibration symptom, not a faulty cell. Discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that full cycle, the IC anchors both endpoints of the discharge curve and the percentage display stabilises.
