Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A32 / A53 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP805)
The BLP805 is the OEM-matched Li-Polymer cell for the Oppo A32 and A53 smartphones. It runs at 3.85V with a 4900mAh (18.87Wh) capacity. This battery fits both models because they share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol.
- A32 and A53 platform compatibility: Both models use the same battery bay — 92.10 x 64.60 x 4.36mm — and the same BLP805 connector. The BMS in each device communicates over the same data line, so one cell covers both without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A32 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connect, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard speed. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle at low current lets it remap to the new cell before high-current charging begins.
Why the Oppo A32 shuts down suddenly at 20–30% after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. Under modem or display load, current draw spikes and the new cell's voltage briefly dips past the shutdown threshold — even though the reported percentage looks safe. The phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage under load drops below 3.4V, which triggers an emergency cutoff. One complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging lets the coulomb counter reset its capacity baseline and eliminates most of these false shutdowns.
USB fast charge not activating after BLP805 installation
Oppo's VOOC fast charge protocol requires a handshake between the charger, the charge IC, and the battery BMS. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS may not complete that handshake because it has no charge history logged. The phone defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety fallback. Run one full standard charge cycle first — once the BMS has a completed cycle on record, plug in the VOOC charger and the protocol negotiation should resume normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Oppo A32 shows 15% battery then just switches off — is the new cell faulty?
Almost certainly not a faulty cell — this is a fuel gauge IC mismatch after a cell swap. The coulomb counter inside the phone was calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve, so it misreads where the new cell's voltage cliff sits under load. Run one full discharge (until the phone shuts off naturally) followed by a full uninterrupted standard charge to 100%. That single cycle resets the fuel gauge baseline and stops the premature cutoffs.
Battery percentage jumping around erratically — goes from 60% to 45% then back to 55%?
Erratic percentage jumps after a cell replacement mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell and hasn't locked onto a stable discharge curve yet. This is normal for the first two to three cycles. Avoid topping up in short bursts during this period — partial charges interrupt the recalibration. Let the phone drain below 10% and charge to 100% in one session, and the percentage readings should stabilise by the third cycle.
Phone feels warm near the battery area while charging on the replacement cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, which means the charge IC pushes against more resistance during the first few charge cycles and generates more heat. This is most noticeable during fast or VOOC charging on a brand-new cell. Switch to standard 5V charging for the first two cycles — the warmth should reduce noticeably as internal impedance drops after the cell is broken in. If the device stays warm past the fourth cycle, check that the charge IC is not stuck in a continuous top-up loop above 4.35V.
