Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo Realme U1 (RMX1833) — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP695)
The BLP695 is the OEM-matched Li-Polymer cell for the Realme U1 (RMX1833 / R1833) smartphone. It replaces the original battery at 3.85V and 3400mAh (13.09Wh). If your Realme U1 is shutting down unexpectedly or no longer holds a charge, this cell addresses the degraded original.
- RMX1833 / R1833 compatibility: Both model codes are the same hardware revision. The BLP695 shares the same flex connector position, BMS pin-out, and 77.15 × 64.16 × 3.92mm footprint — the fuel gauge IC on the board reads this cell without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Realme U1 board. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, thermal cutoff triggered correctly at the upper charge threshold, and coulomb counting stabilised after one full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after fitting this cell. The fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve. One slow cycle at standard current lets it recalibrate before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Realme U1 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the Realme U1 fires the modem at full signal search or drives the display at peak brightness, current draw spikes sharply. The new cell's actual voltage at that load drops below what the old curve predicts for 20–30%, triggering an emergency shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's profile and eliminates these premature cutoffs.
USB fast charge not activating on first cycle after fitting the BLP695
On the first connection after installation, the charge IC on the Realme U1 board runs a brief handshake check against the new cell's BMS. If the cell has been in storage, its resting voltage may sit below 3.6V, and the controller falls back to trickle mode rather than engaging fast charge. Let the phone charge uninterrupted at standard rate until it crosses 3.7V per cell — fast charge will then engage automatically. Forcing a fast-charge connection before that threshold can trip the overcurrent protection in the BMS.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Realme U1 shuts off at around 25% battery — is the new BLP695 cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the RMX1833 board was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and it still predicts voltage using that map. Under modem or display load, the new cell's actual voltage dips below the threshold the IC associates with 25%, so the phone cuts out. Do one full slow discharge to zero followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — that resets the coulomb counter to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.
The Realme U1 feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges with the replacement cell — is that normal?
Yes, and it is specific to new high-impedance Li-Polymer cells. A fresh BLP695 has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat as it pushes current into the cell on early cycles. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the back of the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, or charging stops before 100%, check that fast charging is disabled for the first cycle.
The Realme U1 won't power on at all after the replacement BLP695 sat in the phone for a few weeks without charging — how do I recover it?
The BMS locks the cell out when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during extended storage — this is a protection state, not a dead battery. Plug the phone into a wall charger (not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current) and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the phone will either power on automatically or respond to the power button.
