Fits Huawei Honor 20 Youth, Honor 20 Lite with OEM part number HB426389EEW or HB426389ECW replacement.
3.85V nominal, 3900mAh capacity restores full charge cycles to original device specifications.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab at the top edge.
Bench testing confirmed the BMS accepted full charge without early cutoff and held voltage under sustained load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Honor 20 Youth / Honor 20 Lite — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB426389EEW)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh (15.02Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Huawei Honor 20 Youth, Honor 20 Lite, and LRA-AL00 variants. It replaces OEM part numbers HB426389EEW and HB426389ECW. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.

  • Honor 20 Youth and 20 Lite compatibility: Both models share the same 3.85V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Honor 20 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, fuel gauge IC initialised without error, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated baseline.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Honor 20 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running its algorithm against the old cell's stored discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load at a state-of-charge level the IC does not yet recognise as critical. The phone loses sustained voltage before the software low-battery warning fires. One full discharge to automatic shutdown, followed by a complete charge, forces the IC to rewrite its curve against the new cell.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

On the first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC may default to trickle or standard current while it checks BMS readiness on the new cell. Huawei's proprietary fast-charge handshake requires the BMS to report a valid charge state before the higher current profile is authorised. If the phone shows slow charging after fitting this cell, complete one full standard-rate cycle first. Fast charging typically activates on the second connection once the BMS has reported a clean full-charge event.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honor 20 Youth shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC recalibrated to the old cell over hundreds of cycles and its discharge curve no longer matches the new cell's voltage profile. Under modem or screen load, the new cell drops voltage faster than the IC expects at that state-of-charge, triggering a protective shutdown. Run one full discharge to automatic power-off and then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the IC will rewrite its curve and the shutdowns will stop.

The phone shows 100% for a long time then the percentage drops quickly — what's happening?

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC is still working from data collected on the degraded original cell. It over-estimates remaining charge at the top of the curve because the old cell flattened early. One complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate forces the IC to collect new data points across the full voltage range of the replacement cell. After that cycle the percentage will track correctly from full to empty.

The back of the phone gets warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I stop charging?

Mild warmth on the first one or two cycles is normal. A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell dissipates slightly more heat as the charge IC negotiates current limits before the BMS settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops before 100%, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before reconnecting. Normal operating temperature should be reached by the third charge cycle once the BMS and charge IC have aligned on the correct current profile.
