Fits Palm M130 and M135 PDAs with the F21918595 battery slot connector.
This 3.7V 750mAh Li-ion cell restores full power capacity to aging PDAs whose original batteries no longer hold charge.
Connector is a single-pin contact design with positive terminal alignment — no locking tab, seats flush into the battery bay.
We bench-tested this cell in an M130 unit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held stable voltage under calendar and note-taking loads.
Sync all open calendar entries and contacts to a host computer before removing the dead battery — the M130 stores active application data in RAM powered by the main cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Palm M130 / M135 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F21918595)

This 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Palm M130 and M135 handheld PDAs. These devices store calendar, contacts, and application data in RAM powered directly by the main battery — so a dead or degraded cell means lost data, not just a dark screen. The F21918595 is the correct OEM part number for both models.

  • M130 and M135 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V power rail. The BMS handshake is identical across both, so one cell covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Palm M130. The BMS accepted the charge without flagging an incompatible cell, and voltage held stable at 3.7V nominal across the test load.
  • Sync before you swap: Perform a full HotSync to your host computer before removing the old battery. The M130 and M135 hold open application state and unsaved records in volatile RAM — cutting main battery power without syncing first will wipe that data permanently.

Why the Palm M130 loses all data when the battery goes flat

The M130 has no internal flash storage for active application data. Everything in RAM — open memos, unsaved calendar entries, installed apps — is kept alive by a continuous trickle from the main battery. The moment the cell drops below the BMS cutoff voltage, that RAM loses power and clears completely. This is not a firmware bug; it is how the hardware was built. A working, charged battery is the only thing standing between your data and a full reset.

Palm M130 shows the charging screen but never reaches full charge

A replacement Li-ion cell shipped in storage state can arrive at a resting voltage too low for the M130's charger to enter its normal CC phase. The device may display the charging animation while the charger sits in trickle pre-charge mode and never advances. Connect the PDA to its cradle or cable and leave it undisturbed for at least two hours before checking status. If the battery reaches approximately 3.7V resting voltage after that session, the charge circuit has recovered and subsequent charges will complete normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Palm M130 wiped everything when I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens because the M130 holds all active data in volatile RAM powered by the main battery. The instant the old cell is removed and before the new one makes contact, RAM loses power and clears. To avoid this, do a full HotSync to your desktop before pulling the battery — that copies all records to the host PC so you can restore them immediately after the swap.

The M130 won't boot after fitting the new battery — it just shows a blank screen.

A replacement cell shipped in storage state can arrive below the minimum voltage the M130's boot sequence needs to initialise. Connect the device to its charger and leave it for at least two hours before pressing the power button. Do not attempt to boot it mid-charge — let the battery reach a resting voltage of 3.7V first, then power on.

My Palm M130 battery drains much faster than expected even with minimal use.

The M130's wireless IR sync and backlight are the two heaviest draws on the cell — both pull significantly more current than the idle CPU alone. If you are using IR HotSync frequently or leaving the backlight on during data entry, expect noticeably shorter use between charges. Turn the backlight to its lowest setting in Prefs and sync via cradle rather than IR. If drain remains excessive at low backlight with IR disabled, the cell may need a full discharge and recharge cycle to calibrate the BMS fuel gauge.
