Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic Attune II HD3 / WX-ST300 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WX-SB100)
This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Panasonic Attune II HD3 wireless headset system. It fits the WX-SB100 battery slot and also crosses to the WX-CH455, WX-ST100, and WX-ST300 handsets. Dimensions are 40.00 × 31.10 × 5.90mm — physically identical to the factory cell.
- WX-SB100 platform compatibility: The Attune II HD3, WX-ST100, WX-ST300, and WX-CH455 all run the same WX-SB100 cell. They share a 3.7V nominal rail and use the same physical connector and BMS communication protocol. Swapping between these models requires no adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Attune II base station and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly. The station moved from fault to charge status within 90 seconds of seating the new pack. Cutoff voltage held at the expected 3.0V threshold under combined DECT radio and audio load.
- First charge in the base station: Seat the new battery in the base station and leave it through one complete charge cycle before making a call. DECT headsets log the new cell during this cycle — without it, the talk-time indicator reads incorrectly and the headset may cut off earlier than expected.
Base station showing a charging error after fitting the new pack
The WX-CH455 and Attune II base stations check the battery's BMS before starting the charge cycle. If the cell arrived at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the station may flag an error rather than begin charging. This is a BMS handshake timing issue, not a faulty battery. Remove the pack, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly. The station should clear the error and begin charging within two minutes.
Talk time shorter than rated on the first few cycles
Li-ion cells ship partially charged and do not reach full capacity on the first cycle. On the Attune II HD3, the base station's talk-time estimate also recalibrates over the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles. Expect capacity to increase noticeably by cycle three. If talk time is still noticeably short after five full cycles, check that the base station is not in power-save mode, which reduces charge voltage and leaves the cell at roughly 80% state of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Attune II HD3 cuts out mid-call but the base station shows the battery as fully charged — what's happening?
This usually means the cell is sitting at storage voltage and the base station read that as full without completing a calibration cycle. The combined draw from the DECT radio and audio circuit briefly pulls voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, triggering a shutdown. Seat the battery in the base station and run one complete uninterrupted charge cycle — do not use the headset during this cycle. After that, the BMS will have logged the actual cell capacity and the cutoff behaviour should stabilise.
The headset gets noticeably warm on extended calls after fitting the replacement battery — is that normal?
Some warmth is expected. The Attune II HD3 housing is compact, and the sustained combined draw from the DECT transmitter and audio circuit generates heat in a small space. The cell's BMS will throttle output if internal temperature exceeds safe limits, which can cause brief audio dropouts. If the headset is uncomfortably hot to touch, check that the base station contacts are clean — poor contact increases resistance and heat at the charging interface. A light wipe with a dry cloth on both the battery terminals and base contacts is the first step.
After a few months the WX-ST300 talk time has dropped off sharply — is this the battery or the base station?
Shallow cycling is the most common cause on DECT headsets — if the handset is returned to the base after short calls and topped up constantly, the Li-ion cell never completes a full discharge-charge cycle and capacity fades faster than rated. Run the headset off the base until the low-battery indicator triggers, then charge it fully in one sitting. Do this two or three times. If talk time recovers to near-original levels, the cell is fine and the usage pattern was the cause. If capacity stays low after three full cycles, the cell has degraded and needs replacement.
