Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JBL Everest 700 / Live 650BT Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (P062831-02)
This is a 3.7V, 550mAh lithium-polymer cell for JBL wireless over-ear headphones, replacing OEM part P062831-02. It fits the Everest 700, Everest 300, Live 500BT, and Live 650BT. The cell matches the original dimensions at 30.48 × 29.95 × 6.64mm and connects directly to the headset's existing BMS circuit.
- Everest and Live series compatibility: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the headset firmware reads cell state from the same register across all four platforms, which is why one cell covers the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Live 650BT chassis. The BMS accepted the pack without a fault flag, noise cancellation engaged normally, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- First-cycle base station protocol: Seat the headset in the charging base and let it run a complete charge cycle before first use. DECT and Bluetooth headsets in this family log the new cell during that first full cycle — until it completes, the on-device battery indicator will not report charge level accurately.
Why the Everest 700 cuts out mid-call on a new battery
The Everest 700 draws from a single 3.7V cell simultaneously for the audio driver, Bluetooth radio, and active noise cancellation. During a call, that combined load briefly pulls cell voltage below the BMS trip threshold — the protection circuit interprets this as a low-cell event and cuts power. A new cell at storage voltage (typically around 3.7–3.8V) has less headroom than a fully charged cell at 4.2V. Running one or two complete charge cycles brings the cell to full capacity and raises that headroom enough to handle the combined draw without tripping.
Base station shows charging but headset shuts off after a few minutes of use
This happens when the base station registers surface voltage from the new cell without completing a BMS handshake — the indicator light goes green, but the cell hasn't received a full charge. The headset then starts at what looks like full charge but drops off quickly under load. Pull the headset off the base, power it on until it fully discharges, then reseat it and charge uninterrupted until the base indicator confirms a complete cycle. After that first full charge, resting cell voltage should read 4.15–4.20V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My JBL Live 650BT keeps cutting out mid-call even with the new battery installed — what's causing it?
The combined draw from the Bluetooth radio, audio driver, and noise cancellation briefly pulls cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold during calls. On a new cell at storage voltage, that headroom is thin. Run two full charge-discharge cycles and the cutout behaviour typically stops. After conditioning, resting voltage before a call should sit at 4.15V or above.
The base station light turns green after an hour but talk time is still noticeably short on the first few uses — is the battery faulty?
It's not faulty — lithium-polymer cells in this capacity range need three to five full cycles before they deliver rated capacity. The base station reads surface voltage, not true state of charge, so it can show a green light before the cell is genuinely full. Let each cycle run to completion without interruption, and talk time will increase incrementally across those first few charges.
The Everest 700 gets noticeably warm near the earcup during long calls — is that normal with this replacement cell?
Some warmth is normal. The housing is compact and the cell, Bluetooth radio, and noise cancellation circuit all run in close proximity. Heat becomes a concern only if the earcup is hot to the touch, which signals sustained high draw or a charging fault. If the headset is warm during normal use but cools within a few minutes of ending a call, the cell is operating within expected parameters — no action needed.
