Fits Revolabs Solo Field wireless headset, replacing OEM part VM9158 and 07-SOLOMICBATTERY battery.
3.7V 200mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the energy density needed for sustained DECT radio and audio draw in this headset form factor.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style plug with keyed orientation; slides into the battery bay with a single locking tab on the housing side.
We bench-tested this cell in the Solo Field charging cradle; the BMS handshake completed on first insertion with no fault signals from the base station.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before taking calls — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before talk-time estimates stabilize.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Revolabs Solo Field / Solo Executive — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (VM9158)

This 3.7V 200mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Revolabs Solo Field and Solo Executive wireless headsets. It fits the OEM part numbers VM9158 and 07-SOLOMICBATTERY. When the original cell degrades and talk time drops noticeably, this is the direct swap.

  • Solo Field and Solo Executive compatibility: Both headsets share the same battery bay dimensions and the same BMS handshake protocol with their respective base stations. The connector orientation and cell profile — 52.00 × 13.96 × 5.76mm — are identical across all listed fit models, including 02-DSKSYS-D and 06-XLRMIC-BLK-11.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Solo Field unit. The BMS completed the handshake with the base station within the first full charge cycle, and the base showed a correct charge status without error flags.
  • First-cycle base station logging: Seat the headset in its base station and run a complete charge before taking a call. DECT headsets must complete one full base-logged cycle before the talk-time counter reads accurately — skipping this step causes the base to underreport remaining charge.

Base station showing charging error after fitting the new cell

A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — which sits just below the threshold the Solo base station expects for a recognised, healthy pack. The base can flag this as a fault rather than initiating a charge cycle. Place the headset in the cradle and leave it undisturbed for at least 15 minutes; most bases will then re-attempt the BMS handshake and begin charging normally. If the error persists, remove the headset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it to trigger a fresh handshake cycle.

Headset cutting out mid-call on a new battery

The Solo headset draws simultaneously from the audio circuit and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined load, a cell that has not yet completed its first full conditioning cycle can sag in voltage enough to trip the BMS cutoff — even if the base showed a full charge beforehand. This is not a faulty cell; it resolves over three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the Li-Polymer electrolyte settles. After conditioning, voltage sag under dual load drops and mid-call cutouts stop. Confirm the cell is above 3.7V resting voltage before the next call to rule out a genuinely depleted pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station shows a full charge but the headset dies after just a few minutes of use — what's happening?

A new Li-Polymer cell at storage voltage can report as fully charged to the base before it has actually completed a proper charge cycle. The base reads the cell voltage, not the true capacity, so it shows full while the cell is only partially conditioned. Run two complete charge cycles — headset seated in the base until the charge indicator clears — without interrupting them. After the second cycle the base-to-cell calibration corrects and the headset will draw the full 200mAh available.

My headset is noticeably warm after calls lasting more than 30 minutes — is that normal with this battery?

The Solo Field housing is compact, and the Li-Polymer cell sits close to both the audio driver and the DECT radio module. Sustained combined draw in a sealed enclosure does generate surface warmth — mild warmth is normal. If the housing feels hot rather than warm, check that the mesh speaker grille is not blocked, as restricted airflow concentrates the heat. A cell running hot under light use can indicate an internal resistance issue; check the resting voltage after a full charge — it should read between 4.15V and 4.20V.

Talk time is shorter than expected for the first few uses after fitting this battery — does the cell need to break in?

Yes. Li-Polymer cells do not deliver their full rated capacity on the first cycle. The electrolyte needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cell reaches its rated 200mAh output. Each cycle, talk time will incrementally improve. Run the headset until the base signals low battery, then charge fully — repeat this for at least three cycles before judging whether the battery is performing correctly.
