• HC-V110 series compatibility: All HC-V110 variants share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS in each model reads cell voltage and temperature through the same three-pin interface, so one cell covers the full variant range.

This shows up as the percentage jumping forward or backward, or sticking at a level like 75% before dropping suddenly. Running two full charge-and-discharge cycles inside the camcorder body lets the BMS recalibrate its reference points against the new cell's actual curve.

This happens when the camcorder's BMS hasn't completed an authentication handshake with the new cell. The icon triggers based on an initial voltage read that can fall below the camcorder's acceptance threshold if the cell shipped at partial charge. If the icon persists after a full charge, power-cycle the camcorder with the battery seated — most HC-V110 bodies clear the flag once the resting voltage reads above 3.9V.
