Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DMW-BLF19)
This 7.4V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell replaces the DMW-BLF19 and DMW-BLF19E batteries in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 mirrorless camera family. It fits the GH3, GH3A, GH3AGK, and GH3GK, among others. Voltage and chemistry match OEM spec exactly.
- GH3 series compatibility: All models in this lineup share the same battery compartment geometry, 7.4V voltage rail, and DMW-BLF19 connector pinout. The BMS on each body reads the same handshake signal, so one cell covers the entire range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a GH3 body. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the battery-remaining indicator tracked correctly after one full charge cycle completed inside the camera body.
- First-use charge cycle on GH3: Charge this cell fully inside the GH3 body or OEM charger before your first shoot. The GH3 BMS maps its battery-percentage display to a discharge curve it calibrates on that first cycle — skipping it causes the indicator to read inaccurately throughout the cell's life.
Why the GH3 battery percentage jumps erratically with a new cell
The GH3 uses a voltage-threshold method to estimate remaining charge. A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve slope compared to a worn OEM battery the camera has adapted to. Until the BMS completes one full charge-discharge cycle with the new cell, the thresholds don't align and the percentage reading can jump — dropping suddenly from 60% to 20%, or stalling near full. One complete cycle from 100% to near-empty resolves this. After that, the indicator tracks consistently.
Shot count dropping sharply during sustained 4K video on the GH3
4K recording on the GH3 draws simultaneously from the sensor, image processor, in-body stabilisation, and the EVF or rear LCD — combined current draw is significantly higher than still shooting. A 1100mAh cell under that combined load will reach the BMS low-voltage cutoff faster than spec shot counts suggest, because those counts are based on CIPA still-photo standards. If the camera cuts out during a video session, check that the cell is reading above 7.0V before starting a long clip. For extended video work, carry a second cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GH3 shows a flashing battery icon and won't shoot even though the replacement cell just came off charge — what's wrong?
The GH3 BMS runs an authentication check on first install and can reject a new cell if it hasn't completed a charge cycle inside the camera body or OEM charger. Remove the battery, reinsert it, and charge it fully inside the GH3 before attempting to shoot. That single charge cycle is usually enough for the body to accept the cell and clear the error. If the icon still flashes after a full charge, check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flat.
The battery percentage on my GH3 drops from around 70% straight to near-empty with no warning — is the cell faulty?
It's not a faulty cell — it's a calibration mismatch. The GH3 maps its percentage indicator to voltage thresholds tuned for a worn OEM discharge curve. A new cell with a fuller curve hits those thresholds at different points, causing sudden drops. Run one complete charge-to-near-empty cycle and the BMS recalibrates its thresholds to the new cell. After that cycle, the indicator will track evenly across the full range.
Flash recycling between shots is noticeably slower than it was with my original battery — why?
Flash capacitor recharge pulls a short, sharp current spike after each shot. If the cell voltage is sagging even slightly — typically below 7.2V under load — the recharge current available to the capacitor drops and recycle time stretches. This is most noticeable toward the end of a charge cycle or in cold conditions where internal resistance rises. Keep the cell above 7.2V by swapping it before it reads below 20%, and warm the battery to room temperature before cold-weather shoots.
