Fits Flyco FC9601 and FC9602 cordless stick vacuums, replacing the OEM 14.8V lithium-ion cell for motor power restoration.
14.8V nominal with 2600mAh capacity delivers 38.48Wh — sufficient to maintain motor torque on carpet and hard floors without mid-cycle voltage sag.
Battery slides into the vertical grip slot with a single locking tab; connector seats flush with no adapter required for either FC9601 or FC9602 models.
We bench-tested the pack under sustained suction load; BMS held steady through motor ramp without early cutoff, and accepted a full charge cycle without fault indicators.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle charging erodes capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles, particularly on dock-charging vacuums.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Flyco FC9601 / FC9602 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh (38.48Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Flyco FC9601, FC9602, and FC9601 Robot Vacuum cordless vacuums. It slots into the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS handshake as the factory cell. When the original cell loses capacity or stops holding charge, this restores full motor voltage to the suction system.

  • FC9601, FC9602, and FC9601 Robot Vacuum compatibility: All three models run the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion pack with an identical connector and BMS communication protocol. One battery covers the full range without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the FC9601 motor board. The BMS correctly reported state of charge, and overcurrent cutoff triggered at the expected threshold under a blocked-filter draw test.
  • Dock charging practice for this vacuum: Do not leave the FC9601 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not always a low-capacity issue. When the FC9601 motor draws sustained current through a partially blocked filter or a dense carpet pass, cell voltage dips under load even if the state-of-charge indicator still reads mid-range. The BMS reads terminal voltage, not actual charge remaining, so the indicator lags behind real available power. Clean the filter first — if sag continues on a clear filter with a new cell, the motor brushes are the next check.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, full dustbin, or hair wrapped around the brush roll — motor current spikes above the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically after a short thermal recovery window, which is why the vacuum restarts a few seconds later. Clear the blockage before the next run. If trips continue on an unblocked machine, check that the dustbin seal seats fully, as a partial seal forces the motor to work harder to maintain airflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

My FC9601 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery indicator still shows charge — why?

This is voltage sag under motor load, not a depleted battery. When the filter is even partially restricted, the motor draws more current than rated, and cell voltage drops below what the motor needs to maintain full suction — while the indicator still reads mid-range. Clean or replace the filter first. If sag continues on a clear filter, check the brush roll for hair wrap causing extra drag.

The FC9601 motor cuts out for a few seconds during heavy use, then restarts on its own — is the battery faulty?

That behaviour is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not a faulty cell. A blocked filter or full dustbin forces the motor to pull more amperage than the BMS allows, so it cuts output briefly to protect the cells, then resets. Check the filter, empty the dustbin, and clear any hair from the brush roll before the next run. If trips continue on a clear machine, confirm the dustbin lid seals fully — a gap forces higher motor draw to maintain airflow.

My FC9601 battery fades noticeably after a few months and barely lasts a clean cycle — what causes that?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on cordless vacuums. Leaving the FC9601 on the dock between every use keeps the cells at full charge under low trickle current, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion chemistry over weeks. The fix going forward is to charge only when the battery is depleted, then remove the vacuum from the dock once fully charged. If the new replacement cell is already showing short runtime, verify the filter is clean — a blocked filter raises motor current draw and makes even a healthy battery appear to drain faster than it should.
