Fits Pantech GF200 smartphones — this 3.7V lithium-ion cell restores original battery functionality.
3.7V at 650mAh delivers 2.41Wh to power talk time and standby duration as OEM spec.
Connector matches GF200 slot orientation; no adapter or modification needed for physical installation.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion with no early cutoff or voltage sag under load.
On first use after installation, disable any fast charging option for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the phone's fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pantech GF200 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion battery for the Pantech GF200 mobile phone. It replaces the original cell when the existing battery no longer holds charge or has failed entirely. Fits the GF200 only — confirm your model before ordering.

  • GF200 cell match: The GF200 runs a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector footprint. No BMS handshake is required on this platform — the phone reads cell voltage directly through the contact pins.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on the bench. The BMS protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff, and charge acceptance from flat was consistent with the 650mAh rated capacity.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the GF200 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The GF200's fuel gauge IC builds its capacity model against the discharge curve of the original cell over many cycles. When you install a new cell, the IC is still reading from that old curve. The percentage shown on screen can read high or low by 10–20% until the IC recalibrates. Run one full discharge to auto-off followed by a full charge to 4.2V — that single cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual behaviour.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped where the new cell's voltage cliff sits. Under screen or modem load, cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects and the phone shuts off to protect the circuit — even though the percentage shown still reads above zero. It is not a faulty battery. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the IC will anchor the low-voltage cutoff point correctly, stopping the premature shutdowns.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GF200 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs enough current to push the cell voltage above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will respond. If the charge indicator light comes on at any point, the cell is recovering.

The GF200 shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after fitting this cell — sometimes 60%, then 45%, then back up.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't settled yet. Erratic percentage jumps are normal in the first two or three cycles after a cell swap. Run the phone down to auto-off, then charge fully to 4.2V without interruption — repeat this twice. The IC anchors its model on complete cycles, and the percentage readout will stabilise once it has two full curves to reference.

The GF200 gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during initial charging than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC is pushing current into a cell with higher internal resistance, which dissipates as heat. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and fades as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes too hot to hold or the heat continues past the third full charge cycle, stop charging and check that the replacement cell contacts are seated flat against the phone's battery terminals with no gap.
