Fits Electrolux ErgoRapido models ZB3004 and ZB3004 IW; replaces OEM battery 2199035029.
14.4V Ni-MH pack delivers 1500mAh capacity; sustains motorized head and suction on standard floor types.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the pack.
Bench testing showed the Ni-MH cells accepted charge without BMS delay; discharge curve remained flat until cutoff.
Do not leave this pack on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH cells degrade from trickle charge; remove when full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux ErgoRapido Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (2199035029)

This is a 14.4V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery pack for Electrolux ErgoRapido cordless stick vacuums. It fits the ZB3004, ZB3004 IW, and 900273703 among 16+ compatible ErgoRapido models. It replaces OEM part number 2199035029 directly.

  • ErgoRapido ZB3004 and ZB3004 IW compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector format, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one pack covers the full ErgoRapido lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on ErgoRapido hardware. The BMS held voltage steady under motor load and triggered cutoff cleanly at the low-cell threshold — no false trips at start-up.
  • Dock charging discipline on ErgoRapido: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously. ErgoRapido models on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

On ErgoRapido models, suction can drop noticeably while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down under load even though resting voltage looks fine. The BMS reads the sag as a low-cell condition and reduces power before the indicator catches up. Clear the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction airflow is restricted — blocked filter, full dustbin, or a clogged floor head — the motor draws a sustained current spike that exceeds the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts the circuit to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. Clear the restriction, check the filter, and restart the vacuum. If it trips again on a clean filter, measure resting cell voltage — a pack that won't hold above 12V at rest needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ErgoRapido charges fully but the suction feels weaker than it used to — is the battery the problem?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter makes the motor draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag under load — the pack reads low even though it charged correctly. Remove and clean the filter first. If suction returns to normal, the battery is fine. If suction is still weak on a clean filter and the pack is more than two years old, measure resting voltage — a pack that drops below 12V at rest after a full charge needs replacing.

My ErgoRapido motor cuts out for a few seconds during cleaning and then comes back on — what is happening?

That is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by restricted airflow, not a faulty battery. When the dustbin is full or the floor head is clogged, the motor draws a sustained current spike above the BMS cutoff threshold, which shuts the circuit temporarily. Empty the bin, clear the floor head, and check the filter — the trips should stop. If the motor still cuts out on a completely clear vacuum, the battery cells are likely degraded and no longer delivering stable current under load.

We left the ErgoRapido on the charging dock all the time and now it runs for much less time — can that be fixed?

Continuous dock charging pushes a low-level trickle current through Ni-MH cells indefinitely, which degrades capacity faster than normal cycling. Once the cells have faded from this, charging behaviour alone will not recover them. Replace the battery pack and from then on charge only when the vacuum is depleted, then remove it from the dock once fully charged. A healthy replacement pack charged this way will retain capacity significantly longer.
