Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Proscenic NEO 830P / NEO 820P — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V 3400mAh (48.96Wh) lithium-ion battery fits the Proscenic NEO 830P and NEO 820P cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original pack when capacity has dropped and suction no longer lasts a full clean. Voltage and cell count match the original specification exactly.
- NEO 830P and NEO 820P compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery rail with an identical connector and BMS handshake. The same cell pack powers both units, so one replacement covers either machine in your household.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the NEO 830P motor assembly. The BMS handled current draw correctly across both standard and MAX suction modes, with no unexpected cutoff events during testing.
- Dock charging habit on cordless stick vacs: Do not leave the NEO 830P sitting on its charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge accelerates capacity fade on lithium cells in this form factor. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually because a partially blocked filter increases motor load. The BMS reads elevated current as a low-voltage condition and starts throttling output before the indicator reflects actual charge remaining. The vacuum feels like it's running out of battery, but the real cause is restriction in the airflow path. Clean the filter first, then retest — suction should hold consistent until the pack drops below 12.0V.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or a tight carpet pile on MAX mode — the motor pulls a sustained current spike above the BMS cutoff threshold. The BMS shuts the circuit to protect the cells, then resets after a few seconds once current demand drops. Fix the restriction before assuming the battery is the cause. If the cutout persists with a clear filter and clean brush roll, check that the replacement pack's BMS is communicating correctly with the charger by verifying the charge LED illuminates solid within 30 seconds of docking.

Frequently Asked Questions
My NEO 830P suction feels weak halfway through a clean but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's going on?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than the BMS expects, so the BMS throttles output early to protect the cells — even when the pack isn't actually low. Remove and clean the filter, then retest at the same suction setting. If suction holds consistently after cleaning the filter, the battery is not the issue. If the problem persists with a clean filter on a fresh replacement pack, check that the brush roll is clear of hair wrap that would add motor load.
The vacuum worked fine for the first few months after I replaced the battery, but now it barely lasts through one room — could dock charging have caused this?
Yes. Leaving a cordless stick vac on the charging dock continuously applies a trickle charge that degrades lithium cells faster than normal charge cycles. This is one of the most common causes of early capacity fade on replacement packs in this class. Going forward, charge to full and physically remove the vacuum from the dock — do not store it docked between uses. Capacity loss from this pattern is not recoverable, but a new pack used correctly should hold consistent charge across a full clean.
I fitted the replacement battery but the charger LED doesn't come on when I dock the vacuum — is the battery dead?
The charger expects a BMS handshake before it begins charging — if the pack sits at a very low cell voltage, the BMS may not respond and the LED stays off. Leave the vacuum docked for 10 minutes without touching it; some BMS circuits need a brief pre-charge pulse to wake up. If the LED still does not illuminate after 10 minutes, remove the pack, wait 30 seconds, reseat it firmly so the contacts are fully engaged, and dock again. A solid charge LED within 30 seconds of docking confirms the BMS handshake completed correctly.
