Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Blaupunkt XBOOST / BPK-VCBB1XB Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (D071-INR-CH-4S1P)
This is a 14.4V 3400mAh (48.96Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Blaupunkt XBOOST cordless vacuum and related models including the BPK-VCBB1XB, BPK-VCBB1XBN, and BlueBot XSMART. It replaces OEM part numbers D071-INR-CH-4S1P and 6.60.40.02-0. If your original pack no longer supports a full cleaning session on a single charge, this is the direct swap.
- XBOOST and BPK-VCBB1XB platform fit: These models share the same 4S1P cell configuration, 14.4V nominal rail, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector and physical dimensions — 69.00 × 37.60 × 37.30mm — are identical across the listed variants, so the pack seats and locks without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated motor-start and sustained-suction loads. The BMS held the 14.4V rail cleanly through blockage simulations and recovered without fault codes after overcurrent events during high-resistance carpet passes.
- Dock charging habit on the XBOOST: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between sessions. Continuous dock contact on this model keeps the BMS in a trickle state that accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, remove from dock, and reconnect only when the pack is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The XBOOST motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the dust cup is near capacity. Under that extra load, a degraded cell can no longer hold the 14.4V rail steady, and the motor slows before the indicator registers a low battery. The vacuum appears to lose power prematurely, but the fault is voltage sag under load — not the indicator reading. A fresh 3400mAh pack restores the headroom needed to sustain motor speed through a full cleaning pass; clean the filter before fitting the new battery to avoid repeating the sag cycle immediately.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical fault. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or dense carpet fibres — the motor pulls current above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts the output rail to protect the cells. After the BMS resets (typically within 20–30 seconds), the vacuum powers back on as if nothing happened. Clear the blockage or clean the filter first; if the cutouts continue with an unobstructed airway, the original pack's cells have degraded to where normal motor-start current is enough to trigger the trip. Replacing the pack resolves it — confirm the new pack reads at least 16.0V fully charged before first use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My XBOOST vacuum loses strong suction about halfway through cleaning even though the battery light still shows full — what's causing that?
The battery indicator on the XBOOST reads state of charge at rest, not under load. A degraded cell pack drops voltage the moment the motor draws sustained current, slowing the motor well before the indicator catches up. Check the filter first — a restricted airway forces the motor to work harder and worsens the sag. If the filter is clean and the drop still happens, the cell pack can no longer hold the 14.4V rail under load and needs replacing.
The vacuum cuts out suddenly during use, then works fine again after I leave it for 30 seconds — is the battery faulty or is something else wrong?
That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip. The pack shuts the output rail when current spikes above its threshold — usually triggered by a blocked nozzle, a full dust cup, or a heavily loaded carpet pass. Clear any blockage and empty the dust cup, then retry. If the cutouts keep happening on a clear airway, the existing cells have degraded to the point where normal motor-start current is enough to trip the BMS, and a replacement pack rated at 14.4V / 3400mAh will fix it.
I leave my XBOOST on the dock all the time between uses — could that be why the battery fades so quickly?
Yes. Leaving the XBOOST on continuous dock contact keeps the BMS cycling through a trickle-charge state that accelerates capacity loss in Li-ion cells over weeks and months. The dock was not intended as a storage cradle. Charge the pack fully, remove it from the dock, and only reconnect when the pack is genuinely depleted. If the existing pack has already lost significant capacity from continuous docking, a replacement will restore full output — but adopt the charge-and-remove habit to protect the new pack.
