Fits Garlyn SR-400, SR-600, and SR-700 cordless vacuum cleaners with OEM part compatibility.
14.4V and 3400mAh capacity delivers sustained motor power through full cleaning cycles on these handheld stick models.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a forward-facing locking tab; verify alignment before pressing home.
We bench tested the BMS under sustained suction load — no cutoff at rated draw, contacts clean and responsive.
Remove the battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge; continuous dock storage causes capacity fade in cordless vacuums.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GARLYN SR-400 / SR-600 / SR-700 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 3400mAh (48.96Wh) lithium-ion battery for the GARLYN SR-400, SR-600, and SR-700 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original pack when the cell no longer holds enough charge to run a full cleaning session. Same voltage, same form factor — slides into the battery slot the same way the original does.

  • SR-400, SR-600, SR-700 compatibility: These three models run the same 14.4V battery rail and share an identical battery bay footprint. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are the same across the range, so one cell covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a SR-series unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charger, cell voltage held steady at 14.4V nominal, and the protection circuit triggered at the expected low-voltage cutoff without nuisance tripping.
  • Dock charging habit for SR-series vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. SR-series vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter rather than a weak battery. Restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling higher current and causing voltage to sag under load even when cell charge looks adequate. The BMS reads this as a low-voltage condition and throttles output. Clean or replace the filter first, then test again — if suction holds, the battery is not the problem.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — by a clogged filter, a blockage, or heavy carpet fibres — the motor sustains a high-draw stall that pushes current past the BMS trip threshold. The BMS disconnects to protect the cell, then resets after the thermal or current condition clears. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and confirm the floor head roller is not jammed before concluding the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GARLYN SR-400 suction feels weak even when the battery shows it's charged — why?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated to compensate, which causes voltage to sag under load even with a full cell. The vacuum interprets that sag as low battery and reduces power. Clean or replace the filter and retest — suction should return to full strength at normal motor current draw.

The motor on my SR-600 cuts out for a few seconds then comes back on its own — is this the battery?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not necessarily a failing cell. Sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked filter, a jammed roller, or heavy carpet fibres — forces the motor into a high-draw stall that exceeds the BMS current threshold. The BMS disconnects to protect the cell and resets once current drops. Clear the blockage, clean the filter, and confirm the floor head spins freely before replacing the battery.

This replacement battery charged once and now the charger light goes green almost immediately — is the battery faulty?

A near-instant green light usually means the charger is not seeing a valid BMS handshake from the cell. This can happen if the battery contacts are not fully seated in the charging port — remove the pack, reinsert it firmly, and check that the metal contacts are clean and free of debris. If the charger still terminates early, measure the battery voltage with a multimeter: a healthy Li-ion pack at rest should read between 14.0V and 16.8V; a reading below 10V indicates the cell has deep-discharged and the BMS has locked it out.
