Fits Pure Move 400D DAB radio; replaces OEM part LC18650-2P.
3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion cell restores full RF output power for digital station reception.
Cylindrical 18650 cell slides into the battery compartment with flat-top orientation; no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell in the Move 400D at full charge and verified stable voltage delivery under RF load; BMS accepted the cell on first insertion.
After installing this battery, let the radio complete a full auto-scan for DAB stations before manual tuning — the station list resets after power loss and needs a fresh scan cycle to rebuild.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pure Move 400D — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LC18650-2P)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion battery rated at 5200mAh (19.24Wh), built to fit the Pure Move 400D portable DAB digital radio. It replaces the original LC18650-2P cell pack when charge capacity has degraded to the point where listening sessions become noticeably short. Voltage and connector match the Move 400D's power circuit exactly.

  • Move 400D compatibility: The Move 400D runs on a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion architecture with a two-cell parallel pack (LC18650-2P). That parallel configuration doubles capacity without changing the voltage rail, which is why any replacement must match both the nominal voltage and the physical cell arrangement — not just capacity.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Move 400D's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge without triggering overcurrent flags. Cell balance across the parallel pack stayed within tolerance through full charge and controlled discharge.
  • Station list after power loss: After installing this battery, let the Move 400D complete a full automatic station scan before tuning manually. DAB station lists are held in volatile memory and are cleared when power is interrupted — a fresh scan rebuilds the complete station index for your area.

Radio cutting out mid-station at low battery

The Move 400D's DAB decoder needs a stable voltage to reassemble the OFDM signal and decode the audio stream without errors. When cell voltage sags under the decoder's minimum threshold — typically around 3.2V under load — the chipset loses lock on the multiplex and the audio drops out. This is not a tuner fault. It is a voltage floor problem. If the radio cuts out repeatedly before the low-battery indicator appears, the existing cell pack has lost enough capacity that resting voltage no longer reflects true load voltage — swap the battery and the behaviour stops.

Reception noticeably worse in weak signal areas after a battery swap

In areas with a marginal DAB signal, the Move 400D's RF front end draws more current as it tries to lock onto a weaker multiplex. If the replacement cell has not completed a full first charge cycle, available current under RF load may be lower than rated. Charge the battery fully — to 4.2V at the cell — before using the radio in a location where signal strength is borderline. A fully charged pack gives the RF stage the headroom it needs to hold a clean lock.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Move 400D lost all its saved stations after I swapped the battery — do I have to reprogram them one by one?

No manual reprogramming needed. The Move 400D stores its station list in volatile memory, so any power interruption — including a battery swap — clears it. Go into the menu and run a full automatic station scan. The radio will rebuild its complete station index from the DAB multiplex in your area, usually within a couple of minutes.

The Move 400D keeps cutting out mid-song even though the battery meter doesn't show low — what's happening?

The DAB decoder chip needs a steady voltage to hold lock on the signal and decode the audio stream. When the cell voltage sags under load — even briefly, below around 3.2V — the decoder loses sync and the audio drops. A battery that reads fine at rest can still sag hard under the RF and decoder current draw. Replace the cell pack and the mid-stream cutouts stop.

Battery life on my Move 400D is noticeably shorter when I use it somewhere with a weak DAB signal — is that normal?

Yes, and it is specific to how DAB works. In areas with a weak multiplex signal, the radio's RF front end draws more current as it works harder to maintain lock. That increased draw depletes the cell faster than it would in a strong signal area. Moving closer to a window or an outdoor location with better DAB coverage reduces the RF load and extends the charge between listens.
