Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Rowenta RH6751WO / RH6756WO Series — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SS-9100042161)
This is a 22.2V 3500mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Rowenta RH6751WO, RH6756WO, and RH6753WO cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part SS-9100042161 and fits the same connector and BMS handshake as the original pack. Capacity is 3500mAh (77.7Wh) — matching the factory specification for this motor platform.
- RH6751WO / RH6756WO / RH6753WO fit group: These models share the same 22.2V motor rail, battery connector, and BMS communication protocol. A single replacement pack covers the full variant list — the BMS on each unit expects the same voltage profile and cell count from this six-cell Li-ion configuration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on the RH675x platform and confirmed the BMS handshake initialised cleanly, charging accepted without fault codes, and the overcurrent protection tripped at the correct threshold under a simulated blocked-filter load.
- Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. The RH675x series does not terminate charge aggressively — extended dock time causes trickle charge stress on the cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock and store the vacuum upright off the base.
Suction dropping well before the battery indicator reaches low on RH675x
On this platform, the motor controller reduces power output when cell voltage sags under sustained load — even if the indicator still shows charge remaining. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which deepens the voltage sag and triggers the controller's under-voltage response early. The battery is not necessarily the root cause. Clean or replace the filter first, then test again — if suction holds across a full charge cycle, the cells are functioning correctly.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the RH675x motor draws a sustained spike — typically from a blockage or a heavily restricted filter — the BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells. The pack resets once temperature and current normalise, which is why the vacuum restarts a minute or two later. Clear any blockage in the nozzle and floor head, wash the filter, and allow it to dry fully before retesting. If trips continue with a clean filter on a new pack, inspect the brush-roll for tangled debris causing sustained motor drag.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rowenta RH6751WO has noticeably less suction now than when it was new, even with a clean filter — is the battery causing this?
Yes, a degraded battery pack is a common cause of reduced suction on this model even when the filter is clean. As Li-ion cells age, their internal resistance rises, which deepens voltage sag under motor load — the motor controller then throttles power before the indicator shows low. Swap the battery pack and run a full discharge cycle. If suction returns to normal, the old pack had lost usable capacity despite still holding a surface charge.
My RH6756WO runs fine for a few minutes, then the motor cuts out and only restarts after I set the vacuum down for a bit — what's happening?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip on the battery pack, usually triggered by a blocked nozzle or a filter restricting airflow and forcing the motor to draw more current than the BMS allows. The pack resets once current and temperature drop, which is why it restarts after a short pause. Check the floor head, brush-roll, and nozzle for blockages first — if the vacuum runs normally after clearing them, the pack is protecting itself correctly. If trips continue with a new battery and a clean filter, inspect the brush-roll bearing for drag.
The replacement battery on my RH6753WO won't charge at all — the dock light doesn't change and the vacuum shows no sign of charging starting.
The RH675x charger expects a BMS handshake before it begins charging — if the pack's BMS doesn't respond correctly, the charger stays in standby. First, seat the battery firmly and try a different power outlet. If the dock still shows no activity, place the vacuum on the dock for 10 minutes unpowered — some packs with very low cell voltage need a brief trickle before the BMS wakes. If charging still does not start, verify the battery part number matches SS-9100042161, as a mismatched BMS will block the handshake entirely.
