This is a 14.4V, 5200mAh (74.88Wh) lithium-ion battery that replaces part number BP14452A in the Midea M71, M7 Pro, I10, and M7 Max cordless stick vacuums. It restores full suction power when the original cell has degraded after repeated charge cycles. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication match the original pack.

  • M71 / M7 Pro / I10 / M7 Max compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector housing, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all four without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on the M71 platform and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the charger, accepted a full charge cycle, and released current under normal motor load without tripping overcurrent protection.
  • Dock charging habit for the M71: Remove the vacuum from the charging dock once the battery reaches full charge. The M71 dock does not cut trickle charge automatically — leaving it permanently docked accelerates capacity fade faster than regular discharge and recharge cycles would.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated. The BMS reads that elevated draw as a low-cell-voltage event and throttles output before the indicator registers a charge problem. The battery itself is not the cause. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction restores to full strength immediately after, the cell is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blocked brush roll — causes the motor to spike current beyond the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts output, waits for cell voltage to recover, then restores power. Clear the blockage and check the filter. If the cut-outs stop, the pack is working as intended. If they continue on an unblocked machine, measure resting cell voltage — it should sit above 13.5V after a full charge.

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run the vacuum again. If suction returns to full strength, the battery is not the problem.

The Midea M71 motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then comes back on its own — is the battery faulty?

That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed cell. Restricted airflow from a clogged filter or jammed brush roll causes the motor to spike current above the BMS protection threshold, which briefly shuts power until cell voltage recovers. Clear the brush roll and clean the filter first. If the issue persists on a fully unblocked machine, charge the battery fully and measure terminal voltage — it should read at or above 16.4V at full charge.

I leave my M71 on the dock all the time — could that be why the battery fades so fast?

Yes. The M71 dock does not cut trickle charge once the battery is full, so continuous docking keeps a small current running through the cells indefinitely. That sustained low-level charge degrades cell capacity faster than normal discharge and recharge cycles. Charge the battery to full, then remove it from the dock and store the vacuum unplugged until the next use.
