Fits Samsung Galaxy A20e (SM-A202, SM-A202F/DS, SM-A202J) using OEM part EB-BA202ABU.
3.85V and 2950mAh capacity powers the A20e through a full day of standard use without voltage sag.
Connector slides straight in, locking tab seats flush against the phone's battery slot frame.
We ran discharge cycles at 500mA and 1000mA loads — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with no fault delay or voltage regulation issues.
On first full charge after installation, skip fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A20e — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BA202ABU)

This is a 3.85V, 2950mAh Li-Polymer cell built to the same electrical spec as the factory EB-BA202ABU fitted in the Galaxy A20e. It fits the SM-A202, SM-A202F/DS, SM-A202J, and related variants. If your A20e drains fast, shuts down unexpectedly, or won't hold a charge, this is the cell to swap.

  • A20e battery family: All SM-A202 variants — regardless of regional suffix — share the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits the whole range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an SM-A202F/DS. The BMS accepted charge from both USB-C standard and fast-charge protocols. Cutoff voltages triggered correctly at the high and low ends — 4.35V charge ceiling, 3.0V discharge floor.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — preventing the erratic percentage readings common after a cell swap.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the A20e after a cell swap

This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with near-empty — typically around 3.5–3.6V under load — it triggers an emergency shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge with fast charging disabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve and percentage reporting stabilises.

USB fast charging not working on the first cycle after replacement

Some A20e units don't negotiate fast-charge protocols with a freshly installed cell on the first cycle. The charge IC treats a new, high-impedance cell cautiously and defaults to standard 5V/1A input until it has logged one charge cycle. Plug into a USB-C charger and let it complete a full standard charge — don't interrupt it. On the second cycle, fast charging resumes at the normal negotiated rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My A20e shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it calls shutdown early when voltage sags under screen or modem load. Run one full discharge to zero — let it shut itself off — then charge to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically right after I installed the replacement — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old cell was removed. It's now estimating charge state without a calibrated curve to work from, so readings can jump 5–15% in either direction. One complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption gives the IC enough data to lock onto the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Percentage readings settle within the first two full cycles.

The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage to overcome that resistance during the first few cycles — generating a little extra heat. It's normal and reduces as the cell breaks in. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or exceeds around 45°C, switch to a lower-wattage charger for the first two cycles, then return to your normal charger.
