Fits ZTE Tempo X smartphone and replaces OEM part number Li3822T43p4h736040.
This cell outputs 3.8V at 2100mAh capacity, delivering 7.98Wh to sustain calls, messaging, and apps.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this pack in a Tempo X test unit — the BMS accepted charge current cleanly, fuel gauge IC initialized on first insertion.
On first use after installation, run one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Tempo X / N9137 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3822T43p4h736040)

This 3.8V, 2100mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell in the ZTE Tempo X, Tempo Go, and N9137 smartphones. It matches the original form factor at 73 × 60 × 4mm, fitting the battery bay without modification. Voltage and BMS interface specifications match the OEM part number Li3822T43p4h736040.

  • Tempo X / Tempo Go / N9137 platform fit: These models share a common battery bay dimension and the same 3.8V nominal voltage rail. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are identical across this ZTE budget-tier lineup, so one cell serves all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a ZTE N9137 unit and monitored BMS handshake, charge acceptance, and cutoff behaviour. The charge IC accepted the cell on the first cycle without fault codes, and the BMS terminated charge cleanly at 4.35V as expected.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state — percentage readings stabilise after this single cycle.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZTE Tempo X after a cell swap

This is a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks, instantaneous current draw pulls cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The old cell's discharge curve is baked into the coulomb counter; the new cell hits its voltage floor at a different state of charge. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the fuel gauge IC and eliminates most of these shutdowns.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a replacement cell has dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal risk. The phone will not power on and may show no charging indicator at all. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not USB from a PC — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC applies a trickle recovery current that brings the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ZTE Tempo X percentage is jumping around after I put in the new battery — is the battery faulty?

The fuel gauge IC on the Tempo X was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the coulomb counter has no reference data and produces erratic readings. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. Percentage readings stabilise after that single calibration cycle.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Tempo X — it's only trickle charging now.

Some USB charging protocols require the BMS to complete at least one full charge cycle before the charge IC negotiates higher current. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a conservative current limit. Let the phone complete one full charge to 100% on a standard charger, then reconnect your fast charger — the protocol handshake re-establishes at that point.

My Tempo X gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges with the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during early charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC is pushing current into a cell with slightly elevated internal resistance, which dissipates as heat. This typically reduces after two or three full cycles as resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot enough to cause discomfort or triggers a temperature warning, remove it from the charger and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat against the board.
