Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Avid 579 / Blade A530 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3826T43P4H705949)
This is a 3.8V, 2100mAh Li-ion cell built to the same spec as the original ZTE Li3826T43P4H705949. It fits the ZTE Avid 579, BA530, BA606, and Blade A530 series phones. Voltage and form factor match the OEM cell at 69.70 × 58.94 × 4.60mm.
- Avid 579, BA530, BA606, Blade A530 compatibility: These models share the same 3.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all of them because ZTE used a common power platform across this budget device line.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles and confirmed the BMS communicates charge state correctly to the OS. The protection circuit tripped at expected low-voltage cutoff with no false shutdowns above 3.2V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Avid 579
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load from the modem or display — even though the reported percentage still looks safe. The fuel gauge IC is predicting remaining charge from a curve it built on the old, degraded cell. A fresh cell has a steeper voltage cliff at the low end until it gets recalibrated. Run one full drain to auto-shutdown followed by a full charge to 100%, and the gauge will re-anchor its curve to the new cell's actual discharge profile.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell has dropped below 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — and the phone shows nothing when you press power. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC needs to push a trickle current through the BMS lockout threshold before normal charging can resume. If the screen still shows no charging indicator after 20 minutes, try a second wall adapter — some low-output chargers cannot source enough current to wake a locked BMS at this voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE Avid 579 percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it built for your old, worn battery and it no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage behavior. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. That single full cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate against the new cell, and the percentage readout stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my Avid 579 the first time I charged the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.
This is a first-cycle BMS behaviour. The charge IC on the phone runs a handshake with the new battery's BMS before it grants high-current charging, and some cells need one standard-rate charge cycle before that handshake completes correctly. Charge the phone once at normal speed using a basic 5V/1A adapter, let it reach 100%, then reconnect your fast charger. The protocol negotiation completes on the second cycle in most cases.
The Avid 579 feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, which means the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold after those cycles, stop charging and check that the charge port is fully seated and clean.
