Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A60 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BA606ABU)
This is a 3400mAh (13.09Wh) Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V, replacing part number EB-BA606ABU in the Samsung Galaxy A60. It fits the SM-A6060/DS and SM-A606 variants released in 2019. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- Galaxy A60 and SM-A606 variants: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The EB-BA606ABU footprint — 77.90 × 58.84 × 4.12mm — fits all listed SM-A606 variants without modification to the chassis or flex cable routing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Galaxy A60 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without throwing a battery health warning, and the fuel gauge IC registered correct capacity from the first full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high-current fast charging into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy A60 after a cell swap
A new cell has a different discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was last calibrated against. When the phone's modem fires a high-current burst — during a call or a data handoff — the new cell's actual voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the gauge reaches 0%. The phone reads 25% and cuts out. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates this cliff.
USB-PD fast charge not recognised on the first cycle after replacement
Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging handshake runs through the charge IC, which checks BMS state before accepting elevated voltage from the charger. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS presents an uncalibrated state-of-charge flag that causes the charge IC to fall back to standard 5V charging. Complete one full charge cycle at standard rate first. After that cycle, the BMS clears the flag and the Adaptive Fast Charging handshake resumes normally on subsequent plugs.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy A60 shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the A60 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and the new cell hits a lower voltage under modem load before the gauge reaches zero. Let the phone drain fully to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single full cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the cutoff disappears.
The battery percentage on my A60 is jumping around after the replacement — it shows 60%, drops to 40%, then climbs back up without charging.
Erratic percentage readings happen because the fuel gauge IC is still mapping the new cell's impedance and discharge curve. It has no reliable reference point yet after the old cell was removed. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown and a full uninterrupted charge back to 100%. The fuel gauge IC locks onto the new curve after that cycle and the jumping stops.
My A60 feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges after the swap — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first two or three charges is normal. A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a worn cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while it works through the initial cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or triggers a temperature warning on-screen, stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated. Normal warmth fades after the cell's impedance settles over the first few full cycles.
