Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Golden 5 SM-W2018 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BW218ABE)
This 3.85V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM EB-BW218ABE battery in the Samsung Galaxy Golden 5. It fits the SM-W2018, SM-W2018 World Flagship, and SM-W2018 World Flagship 2018 Dual SIM. Capacity and voltage match the original spec exactly — no modifications needed for installation.
- SM-W2018 flip chassis compatibility: All SM-W2018 variants share the same battery bay dimensions and connector orientation. The 71.55 × 33.25 × 5.50mm cell profile fits the flip housing without pressure on the internal flex cables.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an SM-W2018 unit. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, and the fuel gauge IC registered capacity without faults across both screens and the modem stack.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SM-W2018 after a cell swap
The SM-W2018 runs two displays and an active modem simultaneously — load spikes are frequent and sharp. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can report 25% remaining while actual terminal voltage has already dropped below the shutdown threshold. The phone's PMIC interprets the voltage cliff as a fault and cuts power before the OS can log a low-battery warning. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.
Device not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells shipped in partial charge can self-discharge below 2.5V per cell during extended storage. Below that threshold, the BMS enters lockout to prevent cell damage and blocks all charge current — the phone shows nothing when connected to a charger. Connect the device to a 5V USB source for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on; the trickle path in the charge IC slowly recovers cell voltage until the BMS exits lockout. Once the screen shows the charging indicator, proceed with a normal charge cycle to 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy Golden 5 shows 25% battery and then shuts off instantly — is this a faulty cell?
Not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC in the SM-W2018 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports voltage inaccurately under dual-screen and modem load. The phone's PMIC hits the real voltage floor before the displayed percentage gets there and cuts power. Run one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge — the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.
Fast charging stopped working on my SM-W2018 after I fitted the replacement battery — normal charger works fine but fast charge won't kick in.
This is expected on the first cycle after a cell swap. The charge IC on the SM-W2018 checks BMS handshake data before enabling high-current fast charge; on a new cell it defaults to standard charge rate until the first full cycle completes. Charge the phone to 100% at standard rate, let it discharge normally, then charge again — fast charge re-enables once the BMS has completed one full negotiation cycle.
The replacement battery percentage is jumping around erratically — goes from 60% to 45% with no use, then back up.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's impedance and discharge curve. The SM-W2018's gas gauge uses stored data from the old cell; mismatched internal resistance values cause the reported state-of-charge to drift. This settles after two to three complete discharge-charge cycles. Do not interrupt those cycles mid-way — partial cycles extend the recalibration period and the erratic readings persist longer.
