Fits Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with EB-BG925ABE, GH43-04420A, GH43-04420B, or EB-BG925ABA battery.
3.8V, 2600mAh Li-Polymer cell — restores the original charge capacity lost after 500+ cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no mechanical locking; orientation is keyed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Galaxy S6 Edge motherboard; fuel gauge IC accepted the BMS handshake without error codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BG925ABE)

This is a 3.8V, 2600mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It fits the SM-G925, SM-G9250, SM-G925F, and over 20 additional SM-G925 variants. Use this to restore a phone that no longer holds a charge due to a degraded original cell.

  • SM-G925 variant compatibility: All SM-G925 models share the same battery bay geometry, flex connector pin-out, and BMS handshake protocol. The EB-BG925ABE part number covers the full range — regional variants differ in radio bands, not power architecture.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an SM-G925F and monitored BMS communication across charge and discharge cycles. The protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and charge termination fired at the expected 4.35V ceiling.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the Galaxy S6 Edge fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging sessions begin.

Why the Galaxy S6 Edge reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The S6 Edge uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve, so percentage readings drift — sometimes significantly. The fix is one complete discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the IC resets its reference baseline against the new cell. Subsequent readings stabilise within one or two additional cycles.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display can sustain under peak load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The root cause is the fuel gauge IC firing a shutdown trigger based on a voltage cliff the new cell hits earlier than the old one. It is not a faulty battery — it is the IC recalibrating. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate, and the shutdowns resolve as the IC learns the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. If shutdowns persist past the third cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises internal resistance and deepens the voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy S6 Edge won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release its lockout. If the screen stays black past 30 minutes, try a different charging cable, then attempt a forced boot by holding Power and Volume Down together for 10 seconds.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting this battery — the phone just charges slowly now.

The S6 Edge's USB-PD and Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge negotiation can fail on the first handshake with a new BMS. Power the phone off completely, plug into a Samsung AFC wall adapter (not a USB hub or laptop port), then power back on. The charge controller re-negotiates the fast charge protocol on a fresh boot with the adapter already connected. If slow charging continues after a full reboot cycle, clear the battery stats by running one complete discharge to shutdown, then recharge using the AFC adapter from 0%.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then jumps to 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.

The coulomb counter in the S6 Edge's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge under varying loads. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown without interruption — no top-up charges mid-cycle. Then charge to 100% in one session. After that full reference cycle the IC anchors its model to the new cell, and the percentage readings settle. Erratic jumps should stop within one to two cycles after that.
