Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung L77 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-0637)
This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Samsung L77 digital camera. It fits the original SLB-0637 battery slot directly. Use it when the factory battery no longer holds a charge or fails to power the camera.
- Samsung L77 fit: The L77 uses the SLB-0637 form factor — a slim single-cell Li-ion pack with a three-contact terminal layout that handles both charge control and capacity reporting back to the camera body. The physical dimensions (47.50 × 15.40 × 15.00mm) and contact pitch match the OEM spec exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the L77's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without error flags. Discharge profiling showed a stable voltage curve across the sensor, lens motor, and LCD draw cycle.
- First charge cycle on the L77 body: Charge this replacement fully inside the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. The L77's battery indicator maps percentage against a learned discharge curve — skipping the first full cycle causes the gauge to read incorrectly and the camera may report low battery before the cell is actually depleted.
Why the L77 shows a dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The L77 uses voltage-threshold mapping to estimate remaining charge. A new cell's discharge curve sits slightly differently than a conditioned OEM cell, so the camera's indicator hits its lower threshold before the cell is genuinely empty. This is a calibration gap, not a capacity fault. Running one full charge-to-discharge cycle resets the camera's reference points. After that cycle, the indicator tracks accurately against the cell's actual 3.7V nominal curve.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the L77 display
Erratic percentage readings on the L77 happen when the camera's indicator firmware hasn't mapped the new cell's discharge profile. The display samples voltage at fixed intervals and converts that to a percentage using a stored lookup table calibrated to the original cell. A replacement cell with a slightly flatter mid-range discharge curve causes the camera to over-read capacity, then suddenly drop several percentage points. Charge the replacement fully, allow one complete discharge under normal shooting load, then recharge to 100% — the indicator stabilises once the camera has a full voltage sweep to reference.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Samsung L77 shows "no battery" even though the replacement SLB-0637 is seated correctly — what's happening?
The L77 performs a contact handshake on power-up; if the terminal contacts on a new cell aren't fully seated, the camera rejects it before reading voltage. Remove the battery, clean the three contacts on both the cell and the compartment with a dry cloth, and reinsert firmly until the door latches flush. If the error persists, place the cell in the OEM charger for a full charge cycle first — some L77 bodies only accept a replacement after it has been pre-charged to at least 4.1V.
Why is my shot count lower than expected with the new 700mAh replacement battery in the L77?
The L77's rated shot count assumes a baseline draw from the sensor and lens motor only. Enabling the flash, extended LCD review time, or burst shooting all pull additional current that the rated figure doesn't reflect. Cold temperatures also push the cell's internal resistance up, reducing effective capacity before the voltage sags enough to trigger the low-battery cutoff. Disable flash unless needed and reduce LCD brightness one step — both changes meaningfully extend the number of frames per charge.
The flash on my L77 isn't fully recycling between shots since I fitted the replacement battery — is the cell faulty?
Flash recycling slows when the cell can't sustain the recharge current the capacitor demands between shots. This is most common at the end of a discharge cycle when cell voltage has dropped toward 3.5V — the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge at lower supply voltage. It's normal behaviour under reduced cell voltage, not a cell defect. Recharge the battery; if recycling is still sluggish on a fresh charge, check that the terminal contacts are clean and making full contact, as even slight resistance adds to the recharge lag.
