Fits Samsung L830, NV4, PL10, NV33 digital cameras; replaces OEM part SLB-0937.
Delivers 3.7V at 650mAh capacity for standard compact camera shooting and flash cycles.
Connector slides into the battery slot with no tab obstruction or polarity reversal risk.
We bench-tested the cell in an L830 body; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without authentication delay.
On first use, run one full charge cycle through the camera body itself before heavy shooting — Samsung compact cameras map battery percentage to discharge curve only after internal charge acceptance.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung L830 / NV4 / PL10 / NV33 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-0937)

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion cell built to the SLB-0937 specification. It fits Samsung compact cameras including the L830, NV4, PL10, and NV33. Slide it into the battery compartment and the camera powers on — no modification needed.

  • L830 / NV4 / NV33 platform compatibility: These Samsung compact models share the same SLB-0937 footprint, connector orientation, and 3.7V voltage rail. The BMS in each body reads the same charge state signals, so one cell covers the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Samsung compact body. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, stepped through charge stages normally, and held voltage within spec at end of charge.
  • First-cycle charge protocol for L830 and NV33 bodies: Charge this cell inside the camera body via USB or OEM charger before heavy shooting. Some Samsung compact BMS firmware requires one in-body charge cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve and report battery percentage accurately.

Flash recycling slowing down mid-shoot on the L830

The L830's built-in flash draws a sharp burst of current to recharge its capacitor between shots. As a cell ages — or when a new cell sits at a lower state of charge — internal resistance rises enough to slow that recharge current. The result is a longer wait between flashes, even when the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. If this happens with a fresh cell, charge to 100% in the camera body before shooting in flash-heavy conditions.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the display

Samsung compact bodies map percentage to a voltage threshold table calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new SLB-0937 replacement may have a slightly different curve at mid-range voltages, causing the indicator to skip or bounce between readings. This is a BMS calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Run one full charge-to-flat cycle inside the camera body and the indicator typically stabilises at the correct readings.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Samsung L830 shows a dead battery icon right after I inserted a fully charged replacement — is the cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The L830's BMS sometimes fails to read a new cell's state of charge on the very first insertion because it has no stored calibration data for that cell. Remove the battery, reinsert it, then charge fully inside the camera body via the OEM charger. After one complete in-body charge cycle, the body reads the cell correctly and the icon clears.

Shot count seems lower than expected — the battery dies well before I finish a session.

The SLB-0937 is rated at 650mAh, but the L830's actual shot count drops fast when flash, continuous autofocus, and the LCD are all running together. Each of those subsystems draws on top of the base sensor and processor load. To extend sessions, switch the LCD to auto-dim, limit flash to fill-only, and avoid sustained video clips. The rated capacity is real — the draw from combined features is just higher than still-image specs suggest.

The battery percentage on my NV33 dropped from 80% to 20% in a few shots, then jumped back up — what is happening?

This is a voltage-threshold mismatch between the new cell's discharge curve and the NV33's indicator table. At certain mid-range voltages, the BMS maps the reading to the wrong percentage band, causing sudden jumps in either direction. The cell itself is delivering charge normally — only the displayed number is wrong. Complete two full charge-to-flat cycles inside the camera body and the BMS recalibrates its threshold mapping to the actual cell behaviour.
