Fits SCANGRIP Miniform COB LED flashlight, replaces OEM part 03.5318.
This 3.7V 1000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full brightness output to the work light.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a friction fit; no locking tab required.
We bench-tested the cell in the Miniform housing; BMS accepted the charge without cutoff events.
On first insertion, the flashlight may flicker briefly as the driver recognizes the new cell — this is normal and clears after one full charge cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SCANGRIP Miniform COB LED — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (03.5318)

This is a 3.7V 1000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the SCANGRIP Miniform COB LED work light (model 03.5060). It replaces OEM part 03.5318 and restores full output to the light after the original cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Capacity is 3.7Wh — identical to the factory-fitted cell.

  • Miniform COB LED fit (03.5060): The Miniform runs a single Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. The driver circuit is tuned to this voltage rail and the physical cell dimensions — 41.50 × 30.00 × 8.20mm — match the internal bay exactly. No connector modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Miniform driver board. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without error. Output brightness tracked the original cell across all modes.
  • Li-Polymer storage precaution for the Miniform: If the light will sit unused for more than a month, discharge to around 50% before storing. The Miniform has no automatic sleep cutoff — leaving it fully charged in storage accelerates cell swelling in Li-Polymer chemistry.

Miniform COB LED dimming before the battery indicator trips

The Miniform driver uses brownout protection to step down output before the battery voltage drops below the hard cutoff. This means the light dims noticeably while the indicator still shows charge remaining. It is not a fault — the driver is protecting the cell from over-discharge. When you see the step-down, the cell is typically sitting between 3.4V and 3.5V. Swapping in a fresh cell at this point restores full output immediately.

Replacement cell not recognised after fitting — light won't turn on

Li-Polymer cells can ship in a low-voltage protection state after transit. If the Miniform shows no response after installing this battery, the cell voltage may be sitting below the driver's minimum input threshold. Connect the light to its USB charger immediately after fitting — the charger circuit can recover the cell from as low as 2.5V. If the indicator light on the charger does not activate within 60 seconds, disconnect and reconnect to trigger the recovery sequence. A full charge cycle from this point brings the cell back to 3.7V nominal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SCANGRIP Miniform is dimming on high mode even with a new battery — is this normal?

Yes. The Miniform driver steps output down when cell voltage sags under high-current draw — this is brownout protection, not a faulty battery. A fresh 1000mAh Li-Polymer cell has a higher internal resistance than a larger cell, so voltage sag is more pronounced at peak draw. Switch to a lower mode to keep the driver out of step-down territory and maintain steady output.

The Miniform worked for a few weeks after my last charge, then wouldn't turn on at all — what happened?

Li-Polymer cells in small work lights self-discharge at roughly 2–5% per month, and the Miniform has no sleep cutoff to protect the cell during long storage. If the cell dropped below 2.5V, the BMS will have locked it out. Plug the light into its charger for at least 15 minutes — the charger circuit can initiate recovery from a deep-discharge state. If the charge indicator activates, let it complete a full cycle before use.

Runtime dropped sharply after switching to turbo mode — is the battery draining too fast?

Turbo mode pulls significantly more current than standard mode — typically 5 to 10 times the draw — so a 1000mAh cell depletes much faster under that load. This is expected behaviour, not a cell defect. The Miniform's driver will step down output as voltage drops under sustained turbo use. For extended sessions, run the light in standard or medium mode and reserve turbo for short bursts.
