Fits Schuberth C3 and C3 Pro helmet communication modules with original 3.7V Li-Polymer cell.
3.7V, 800mAh capacity delivers the same energy envelope as OEM pack for integrated Bluetooth and intercom radio.
Connector clips into the battery slot behind the ear cup; locking tab seats flush with helmet housing frame.
Bench testing showed BMS accepted the cell on first insertion; voltage held steady during simulated dual-draw cycles of audio plus DECT radio transmission.
On first charge in the C3 base station, keep the headset docked for a full cycle before taking calls—the base firmware logs the new cell during this initial handshake, after which talk time estimates stabilise.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schuberth C3 / C3 Pro — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 800mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original power pack inside the Schuberth C3 and C3 Pro helmet's integrated Bluetooth communication module. It fits the intercom and audio unit housed in the chin bar of both modular helmet variants. Dimensions are 49.20 × 19.50 × 9.20mm — confirm these against your existing cell before ordering.

  • C3 and C3 Pro compatibility: Both helmets share the same communication module housing and connector pinout, so one cell fits either variant. The BMS on the module reads cell voltage at power-on — matching the 3.7V nominal keeps the firmware from logging a fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the C3 module's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS completed a full handshake and reported accurate charge state across three consecutive cycles.
  • First charge after fitting: Place the helmet unit on charge through the original cable for a complete cycle before taking a call. The C3 module recalibrates its charge-state counter against the new cell during that first uninterrupted charge — skipping it causes the indicator to read incorrectly for several sessions.

Why the C3 communication module cuts out mid-call on a new battery

The C3 module draws simultaneously from the audio amplifier and the Bluetooth radio during a call. That combined load pulls more current than standby does, and a new cell at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — can sag just enough to trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff. The fix is a full charge cycle before first use. After two or three full cycles the cell's internal resistance settles and voltage sag under combined draw reduces noticeably.

Charge indicator shows full but the module shuts off after a few minutes

This happens when the module's charge counter hasn't synced with the new cell's actual capacity. The firmware retained the old cell's charge map and declared "full" before the new cell reached a true 4.2V. Pull the unit off charge, power it on briefly, then return it to charge — the module re-reads the cell voltage and resets its counter. After one complete charge from near-empty, the indicator tracks correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The C3 module charges fine but cuts out partway through a phone call — never happens on standby. What's going on?

The Bluetooth radio and audio amplifier run at the same time during a call, and that combined current draw is significantly higher than standby. A new cell at storage voltage sags under that load, hitting the BMS undervoltage threshold and triggering a shutdown. Run two or three full charge-and-use cycles — internal resistance drops as the cell conditions, and the sag under load reduces. After those cycles, measure resting voltage after a full charge; it should read 4.18–4.20V.

My C3 module sits unused for a few weeks and then won't power on at all after a replacement battery is fitted — why does this keep happening?

Li-polymer cells self-discharge during storage, and if the module was left discharged for an extended period the cell voltage can fall below the BMS re-initialisation threshold — typically around 3.0V. At that point the protection circuit locks out to prevent damage and won't respond to a normal charge attempt. Connect the module via its original cable to a powered USB source and leave it for 30–40 minutes without pressing anything; most C3 BMS circuits will trickle-charge the cell back above 3.0V and then resume normal charging automatically.

The C3 module feels noticeably warm after a long call — is that a battery issue or a housing issue?

The C3 chin-bar housing has very little airflow around the communication module, so heat from the combined radio and audio draw has nowhere to go. A replacement cell with higher internal resistance than the original will generate more heat under the same load, and warmth increases further when the cell is above 80% charge. This is not a fault in most cases, but if the module becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the replacement cell dimensions match exactly — a slightly oversized cell pressed against the housing wall conducts heat less efficiently. Confirm the fit against the 49.20 × 19.50 × 9.20mm spec.
