Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Seecode Vossor Phonebook / Mirrow III — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP120)
This is a 3.7V, 1700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Seecode Vossor Phonebook, Vossor Plus, Mirrow III, and Mirrow 3. It uses OEM part number NP120 and fits the physical and electrical spec of the original cell. Capacity figure is taken directly from the product specification — 1700mAh (6.29Wh).
- Vossor and Mirrow series compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal rail, and NP120 connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across the Vossor Phonebook, Vossor Plus, Mirrow III, and Mirrow 3 — one cell fits all four.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Vossor Phonebook. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, held stable voltage under continuous recording load, and triggered protection cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold.
- First-use charge before any recording session: Digital recorders write audio continuously to flash storage. An unexpected power cut mid-session corrupts the active file. Charge this cell fully before the first session — the recorder needs a stable voltage ceiling before it starts writing.
Recording stopping mid-session on the Vossor Phonebook
The Vossor Phonebook requires a minimum sustained voltage to keep the recording engine and flash write cycle active. As a Li-ion cell ages, its voltage under load drops faster than the open-circuit reading suggests. When the cell sags below the recorder's minimum operating threshold mid-session, the firmware cuts the write process. The result is a truncated file — audio up to the cutoff point is usually recoverable, but the session ends without a clean close. A fresh NP120 cell holds the voltage rail flat long enough to complete normal-length sessions without sag-triggered cutoffs.
Recorder won't start after a new battery is installed
This happens when the replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — and the Vossor Phonebook's boot threshold sits just above that. The device attempts to start, the BMS sees marginal voltage, and the unit shuts back down or shows nothing on screen. It is not a faulty battery. Connect the charger first and bring the cell to at least 3.8V before pressing power. The recorder boots cleanly once the cell clears the boot voltage floor.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vossor Phonebook shows a full charge on the new battery but cuts out after a few recordings — what's happening?
A cell at full charge reads 4.2V open-circuit, but under the sustained load of continuous flash writes that voltage drops quickly if the cell hasn't been through a proper first cycle. Put the battery through one full charge-to-discharge cycle on the device before relying on it for longer sessions. The BMS recalibrates its state-of-charge estimate after that first cycle and the cutouts stop. If it continues after two full cycles, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact.
Will the recordings already saved on my Vossor Phonebook survive the battery swap?
Yes. The Vossor Phonebook stores completed recordings on internal flash memory, which is non-volatile — it holds data with no power at all. Removing the old battery does not erase saved files. Only the RAM buffer is lost on power removal, which means any recording that was actively in progress at the moment of battery removal may be truncated or corrupt. Completed and closed files are unaffected.
The Vossor Phonebook started fine after the swap but now drains the new battery much faster than the original did — why?
Check whether wireless or Bluetooth sync features are active. Sustained wireless transmission draws significantly more current than recording-only mode, and a cell that looks like it's draining fast is often running a background sync process. Turn off any wireless features and run a recording-only session to isolate the draw. If drain returns to normal in recording-only mode, the wireless radio is the cause — disable it between sync sessions to extend time between charges.
