Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser Momentum TW2 Charging Case — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (14500CY-900)
This 3.7V 700mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Sennheiser Momentum TW2 charging case. The case battery is what stores charge between wall outlet sessions and delivers it to the earbuds — when it degrades, the earbuds stop getting topped up mid-day. This replacement restores that between-charge buffer.
- Momentum TW2 case fit: The TW2 case uses a single cylindrical Li-ion cell rated at 3.7V to run its internal charge management circuit. The 14500CY-900 format matches the cell footprint, contact orientation, and voltage rail the case's charging IC expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the TW2 case platform. The onboard BMS accepted the new cell without error, completed a full charge cycle from depleted, and passed charge through to connected earbuds at the correct output voltage.
- First-cycle case conditioning: After fitting this cell, charge the case fully from empty before loading the earbuds. The TW2 case charge controller recalibrates its capacity estimate on the first full cycle — skipping this step causes the LED indicator to report inaccurate charge state for the first several uses.
Why the TW2 case LED shows full but earbuds go flat after one top-up
The TW2 case measures its battery state by tracking voltage, not a coulomb counter. A new cell installed at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — sits close enough to nominal that the case reports full. But the usable capacity window only unlocks after a complete charge-discharge cycle drives the cell through its full voltage range. Until that first full cycle runs, the case pulls charge from a narrow voltage band and exhausts it faster than the indicator suggests.
Case charging stops early and the amber light pulses without reaching solid white
This symptom usually means the charge IC timed out before the cell reached termination voltage. It happens when a degraded or deeply discharged cell takes longer than the case's charge timer allows. With a fresh replacement cell starting from storage voltage, plug the case into the charger and leave it connected for a minimum of two hours without interruption. If the pulsing persists past that point, check the USB cable and source — the TW2 case requires a stable 5V input; underpowered sources cause the charge controller to abort early. Confirm input voltage is at 5.0V before suspecting the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My TW2 case shows a full charge on the LED but the earbuds die after just one session — why?
The case battery was likely installed or stored at a partial voltage, and the charge controller is reading that narrow voltage window as "full." The case IC needs one complete charge-from-empty cycle to map the cell's actual capacity range. Charge the case to 100% from fully depleted before using it — after that first full cycle, the LED state and actual available charge will align.
After fitting the new case battery, the earbuds cut out during use even though the case still showed charge remaining — what causes that?
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the earbuds draw current from the case during simultaneous use and charging, a cell that hasn't completed conditioning cycles can sag below the case's output threshold briefly, interrupting delivery. It typically improves over three to five charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance stabilises. Run three full charge-discharge cycles on the case before expecting consistent output under combined earbud load.
The case stopped charging the earbuds entirely after the battery swap — the LED stays off even when plugged in
A blank LED with no charging response usually means the BMS on the new cell hasn't completed its initialisation handshake with the case charge IC. This happens when the replacement cell ships at a very low storage voltage — below the IC's wake threshold. Connect the case to a known 5V USB source and leave it untouched for 30 minutes; the charge circuit should detect the rising cell voltage and re-engage. If the LED still doesn't respond after 30 minutes, check that the replacement cell contacts are seated flush against the case's internal terminals.
