Fits Solac AE2529 and AE2529 2JG cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part S00001987.
29.6V lithium-ion pack with 2500mAh capacity delivers sustained motor voltage under carpet pile and blockage load.
Connector slides into the standard dock port on the AE2529 handle; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the test rig; BMS held steady voltage through motor cutout and recovered cleanly.
Do not leave this cell on the charging dock when full — continuous trickle charge degrades capacity faster than planned discharges.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Solac AE2529 Series — 29.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S00001987)

This 29.6V lithium-ion battery pack carries a 2500mAh (74Wh) capacity and fits the Solac AE2529 and AE2529 2JG cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part S00001987 when the original cell can no longer hold a working charge. Same voltage, same connector, same BMS communication as the factory pack.

  • AE2529 and AE2529 2JG compatibility: Both models run the same 29.6V power rail and use the same BMS handshake protocol. The pack connector and cell count are identical across this variant pair, so one replacement covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on the AE2529 platform and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour under simulated motor load. The protection circuit responded correctly to sustained high draw and recovered without fault codes.
  • Dock charging practice for the AE2529: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums kept on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the AE2529

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder and draws more current than rated. That excess draw causes the cell voltage to sag under load, which the BMS reads as a low-battery condition even when the pack still holds charge. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers and the battery indicator stabilises, the pack is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. Sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to draw above the BMS protection threshold, which cuts power to prevent cell damage. The pack recovers once the BMS resets — typically within 30 to 60 seconds of the vacuum being switched off. Check the filter and brush roll for blockage before replacing the battery. If the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the pack is operating as intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Solac AE2529 cuts out mid-clean and restarts fine after sitting for a minute — is the battery faulty?

That behaviour points to a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed cell. When the filter or brush roll is partially blocked, the motor draws above the pack's protection threshold and the BMS shuts down to prevent damage. Clear the filter and check the brush roll for tangled debris, then retest. If the cutout stops, the battery is working correctly — the restriction was the trigger.

Suction on my AE2529 drops off well before the battery indicator shows low — what's happening?

A partially clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes cell voltage to sag under load. The BMS reads that sag as a near-depleted pack even though the battery still holds charge. Clean or replace the filter and run the vacuum again — if suction holds steady for longer, the filter was the cause, not the battery. A genuinely degraded pack will still show the same symptom after the filter is clean.

My AE2529's battery seems to deplete much faster than it used to, even though I keep it on the dock — could continuous charging have damaged it?

Yes — leaving the vacuum on the dock permanently is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade in this class of cordless vacuum. The trickle current from continuous dock charging stresses lithium-ion cells over time and reduces how much charge the pack can hold per cycle. A replacement pack will restore original capacity, but only if you change the charging habit. Charge to full, disconnect from the dock, and reconnect only when the battery is depleted.
