Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Solac AE2536 Series — 36V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S00001979)
This is a 36V 3500mAh lithium-ion battery built to replace the original pack in the Solac AE2536 and AE2536 2JG cordless stick vacuums. It matches the OEM part number S00001979 and fits the same connector and battery housing as the factory unit. Swapping this in restores full motor power to a vacuum that has lost charge capacity over time.
- AE2536 and AE2536 2JG compatibility: Both variants run the same 36V motor rail, use the same connector pinout, and expect the same BMS handshake from the battery pack. One replacement cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the AE2536 motor platform. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly at low voltage and did not trip during motor start draw.
- Dock charging on the AE2536: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging through the dock accelerates capacity fade on lithium cells. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock and store the vacuum separately.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the AE2536
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than its rated load. That spike pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit tracks, so suction weakens while the LED still shows charge remaining. Check and clean the filter first — a clean filter reduces motor draw and keeps voltage stable across the full discharge. If sag continues after filter cleaning, the original cell has lost enough capacity that it can no longer sustain the current demand, and replacement is the correct fix.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. Sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked filter or blockage in the hose — forces the motor to work harder, drawing current above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cells, then resets after a brief cooldown. Clear any blockage in the hose or brush head, clean the filter, and restart. If trips continue on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, check that the replacement pack BMS is communicating correctly with the AE2536 charger — confirm the pack reaches a full 36V charge before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Solac AE2536 suction feels weak from the start of a clean — could it be the battery even though the indicator shows full?
Yes. A degraded cell can show full charge on the indicator but still sag under motor load. The voltage indicator reads resting cell voltage, not load voltage — under suction demand those are different numbers. Before replacing the battery, clean the filter completely; a restricted filter inflates motor draw and makes even a good cell sag. If suction is still weak on a clean filter with a fresh charge, the cell has lost capacity and needs replacing.
My AE2536 runtime dropped sharply after several months — it was fine at first but now the charge barely lasts through one room.
This is shallow-cycle degradation from continuous dock charging. Lithium cells lose capacity faster when they are kept at 100% charge permanently — the dock keeps topping the battery up, and that sustained high state of charge stresses the cells over time. The damage compounds quickly on vacuums that live on the dock between every use. Switch to charge-and-remove — charge the battery to full, unplug from the dock, and store the vacuum off-charge until the next use.
The replacement battery sits in the AE2536 but the charger light never comes on — the vacuum won't charge at all.
Some cordless vacuum chargers check for a valid BMS signal before opening the charge circuit. If the charger light stays off with the new pack installed, the BMS in the replacement cell may not be completing the handshake the AE2536 charger expects. Verify the pack terminals are clean and seated fully in the dock — oxidation or a partial connection can break the signal line. If seating and cleaning the contacts does not resolve it, confirm the replacement battery carries part number S00001979, as that is the OEM reference the AE2536 charge circuit is calibrated to accept.
